Frank, I'm glad you're here. But you're swerving all over road getting here. But, let me start to set you straight. Learn how and why we post roll. Then do it. Then read everything else on this site. Then re-read everything else on this site. Keep doing that until you realize that you HATE dipping, and that luck has nothing to do with quitting.

Dipping is relaxing is BULLSHIT. Nicotine withdrawals cause nervous anxiety. You just keep answering the call. In short, you're a slave. It's okay...we all were.

That shit about your dad making it harder to quit if user rationalization BULLSHIT. If you're good and goddam serious about quitting, you would rather cut your fingers off than use them to put your daddy's snuff in your mouth. GET ANGRY. You can't win by glamorizing your own stupid suicide.

Your dad may not make this journey with you. Nobody can do this for you...or him. You have to want it more than a drowning man wants air. YOU HAVE TO GET SERIOUS. If you think you're up for the fight, then come on. You can do this...and it won't be because you lucked into anything. Hope and luck are bullshit. You've got to decide that you won't put that shit in your face come Hell or high water. And then YOU have to keep your word. We're here to support. But this fight is about YOU.

The good news is that you can do it. Check out the Quit Groups. All those bad ass quitters have been right where you are right now and are living free ONE DAY AT A TIME. Join us.

but I LOVE chew. Chewing is something that gives me that relaxing feeling I strive to find elsewhere. It may sound weird, but I love the feeling of it tearing into my gums/lip. I don't know why in the world it is pleasant to me, but its something I look forward to.
Until this ^^^ changes... I smell failure.
Well, it’s one louder, isn’t it? It’s not ten.

Ironic you didn't add these reasons to quit:

1. Don't want oral cancer
2. Don't want to die at 28
3. Don't want to eat/drink out of a feeding tube
4. I want to keep my jaw, cheeks, and lips because it is almost a basic human right to have these.

Don't minimize addiction. Don't minimize the power or evil of this drug. Hasn't it already robbed you enough in time and money? What has chewing really done for you?

I am 135 days removed from this cancer in a can, and the sinister drug still whispers in my ear. Get on roll (I don't see you on it yet and that's a problem here), and start QUITTING.

Glad you're here! ! I hope by now you've found your quit group and have posted roll. Lean on your quit group. Trade phone numbers with a few and help each other. It won't be easy, but anything with doing ever is.

Good luck man. Make sure you start reading up on addiction. It sounds like you need to do some learning.
