its real easy to sit back and read /post on these forums with a lip full of cat shit but when the rubber meets the road and its time to put up or shut up, make sure you are here posting roll EDD and don't look back or ahead. Its gonna absolutely suck balls but if your really ready to quit then its not that hard. This game is 95% mental and 5% everything else. QUIT ON!!
What happened? Why are you posting a day 1 in July 17? We need your answers to the 3 questions bro.
Just one and you will be back where you started.
And where you started was desperately wishing
you were where you are right now.

Bad Ass Marine! Welcome to our nightmare! Nothing in your USMC training has prepared you to quit nicotine. Don't think you have what it takes to do it. However, we have what it takes to do it. Join us, and we can beat this bitch together! Seek out Bomber from June 2016. He is a retired marine, old fart, about 60 years old. You can lean on him. I have.

Welcome man,
I'd like to congratulate you on your decision to quit. First rule on this site it the use of the "try" word, we don't try here we "Do" here or Quit here. I dipped for 15 yrs solid all day everyday up until 9 days ago, then I found this place and bought into the system. At first I thought it was a bit intense but once you get through the first few days everything became very useful tools especially posting roll daily and reaching out to other quitters for a mentor or just another person to hold you accountable. I can't stress getting yourself an oral crave assistant pack with some gum, hard candies, smokey mountain, Grinds(very good) and anything else tobacco and nicotine free to get past the urges and they will come. Drink a lot of water and I mean a lot to flush all that nicotine out of your system. Also spend some time on the site read as much info and story's as you can they really help. PM me or anyone in the group if you have any questions. And remember quit hard my friend and don't cave.

RDB is dead on. If you look back through these intro pages, you'll see it's full of people who have a quit date planned and then just a single post. They never quit, never come back. If you've sacked up enough to post an intro, don't let that momentum fade overnight.

You're obviously a tough dude, you can handle this. Throw away all tobacco products in your home and post your day one right now. It doesn't matter if you chewed today, you can still post day one.

You got this, there are people here who will help drag you through the suck and keep you accountable beyond.

Welcome. Thank you for your service to our country.

Tomorrow? Are you fucking kidding me? How many tomorrows have you planned? I probably planned sixteen dozen during the 24 years I dipped. Throw the shit out. Dump it down the toilet and rinse the can. Make your last dip your last dip.

Go cold turkey. Forget all the aids. Embrace the suck. Three days from now you will be a different person.

If you wait until tomorrow, there will always be another tomorrow.

Quit Day tomorrow 3/17

So here we go, I'm at it again, been dipping for almost 26 years. Have tried many many times to quit and obviously failed. Hope trying this group helps. Started with Red Man leaf tobacco when I was about 16 yo playing legion baseball with guys up to 21 years old. Was the cool thing to do. Gradually moved on to skoal long cut wintergreen. I remember the dizzy feeling i used to get when i used it for the first few times. Joined the Marines when I was 18 and became a full time dipper, It was just the thing to do. Couple combat tours and I was hooked. Was the only thing i had to look forward to, lol. Been doing it ever since. Switched brands from Copenhagen to Skoal and a few others in between, quit for a couple years on and off and just smoked instead. Been Cigarette free for 5 years now. Ive tried everything imaginable to quit, Chantix, the Patch, herbal snuff, etc. First time I've joined a support group of some kind so hoping this is the trick. Look forward to getting to know some of you in my quit group tomorrow.
