Welcome, you have nic outta your body!!  Win, win!  Now just tough it out for a few more days, stuff some seeds, candy, fake, whatever in your mouth and stay quit.  Best advice, post roll early every day and own (live) your quit.  You can do this.  Need some digits, feel free to pm me.

There are two types of quitters on KTC. Those who post every damn day no matter what. They could survive a plane crash 50 miles from Nome Alaska and would kill a polar bear with a pocket knife, write their days quit on ice with its blood, snap a pic with their cell phone and text it to Drome. Then there are those who always have an excuse not to post or to post late. -bicycleptic

Welcome to KTC. I too was a 1 1/2 can of cope a day guy, and am 19 days Quit. You've come to the right place, but you need to get in on April 2019 thread and post your promise for the day to stay quit! Any questions, just ask: Also I can't tell from your message, but posting your promise is to remain free of ALL forms of nicotine (no gum, patches, or obviously the lip turds). 100% Nicotine free 100% cold turkey, you can do this!

Thanks, I revised my intro. I dumped the gum and patches two days ago.

Glad you made the choice to be here. I’m glad to quit with you. I’ll send you a PM with my digits. If you hit a rough patch and want to text or chat through it, look me up. Nothing helps more, in my opinion, then having a lifeline to a fellow brother going through the same shit. We’ve all been there and are living it.
The only right way to quit is today.

Today is day 12 tobacco free after 30 + years of Copenhagen 1-1 1/2 can a day habit. This is my second attempt. First time my doc gave me Chantix and it didn’t work, this time he told me to get off my ass and go to the health department. His reasoning was that if I didn’t invest something in it I would fail again. I’m glad he did, using patch and gum. First 3-4 days were easy now a bit of a struggle. Two days ago I dumped the patches and gum, I figured I would feel like crap each time the patch dose was stepped down so why not just go through it once. Any advice is welcomed, I’ll be searching in the meantime.
You made an excellent choice! Listen to vets on here and get involved with us in April. Posting your promise in roll with us was a huge step. Make your promise in the morning and be accountable for it. Glad your here with us, I’ll be sending you a PM. WUPP EDD

Another 24 hours and the nicotine will be physically out of your system.  All that's left is a simple rewiring of your brain. It may seem complex but we'll do it one day at a time, it's the only way to eat an elephant. Make some contacts, turn the pixels into people, and build a web of accountability.  It really works. One. Day. At. A. Time.
Got some links in my sig about nicotine ADDICTION (if you thought this was a habit - think again). Educate yourself about what your dealing with. To underestimate the enemy, to persist in ignorance is to fail. IQWYT

Tlhorrocks,

Are you still using nicotine replacement (Patch or gum)?  If so, you need to destroy them immediately.  This is a Cold Turkey site and nicotine in any form is NOT allowed.

I saw you posted roll already as a day 2 so I hope that you have already got rid of all nicotine 2 days ago.  Just making sure and we are happy to have you as long as there is no nicotine being ingesting currently.

I also sent you a PM with my digits.  Start building you wall of accountability by exchanging digits with other members i here.

Start making new, useful habits in place of the times you would normally dip.  Drink lots of water and exercise.

Post your promise everyday at the beginning of your day so you take nicotine off the table.  Keep your word for the 24 hours, come back and repeat daily.
If you want my digits, just ask and they will be yours, but I expect yours in return.

Accountability is a statement of personal promise, both to yourself and to the people around you, to deliver specific defined results.
Brian Dive

Do not be complacent about your achievements and not to strive for continual improvement when you get to the top. As soon as you let success go to your head, you sink into following familiar patterns and play it safe. In other words, you risk losing your edge.
Roy T. Bennett

You need anything, ask.  You feel strong, help.  This quit is for you but we got your back.
