we do not do things half assed around here, and we will not allow you to do this half assed either.

Welcome aboard and make sure and have a second helping of the Kool Aid.

Let's just keep texting each other every day and we will do this together. Life Is so much better without this bitch on our back. Never forget the pain of the first week! I for or one do not ever want to go thorough that shit again. Do you?
Lots of good info already and I can't stress the brotherhood and accountability pasts enough. The friendships that I have formed here have saved my quit more than a few times. I will not let them down.

I'm as local to you as someone can get. You have my number. Use it before you do something stupid. Post roll early every day and honor you word all day, especially when you don't want to.
Kevin
My last 2 cents on this. Hook up with Evil! I'm in No. Cal and would love to have a brother close buy. I would jump all over Evils offer. This is why I love this group! Total strangers helping each other out of the bitch's clutch. I quit with you every day.

Welcome aboard the KTC quit train kerjkrdad. Amazing that it only took you 28 years of riding the train to figure out it was heading no where...and you had lots of company on that train my new friend..over 17,000 of us at last count. Since you have already posted Day 12 in the March group, I want to tell you a little about WHY we post roll. Roll is your daily promise to yourself and all of your new brothers and sisters that you will not use tobacco in any form that day. You will post your name and the number of days you are quit each day in the March, 2014 quit group. Each and every day you will post your promise. No exceptions. That is the price of admission to KTC. Nothing more and nothing less. The reason you are put in March is that will be the month that you will celebrate being 100 days free of nicotineÂ…your Hall of Fame date. Now, look up at the top right of your screen. You will see Inbox(1), which is a pm (personal message) from me. It has my telephone number on it, which I would request you save so that you can call it 24/7 when the urges to use again get overwhelming or you just need to talk to someone about this madness. This is your first step in accountability. Welcome again and congrats on making the best decision of your life.

You should really try to avoid the hooch the next couple of months, as alcohol will diminish your inhibitions and resolve to stay quit. It has also been involved in almost every cave reported. Just food for thought. Wayne

Hey fellow quitters. So glad to be with you guys.
I've had some excellent pms and texts with the March 14 quitters but wanted to add some background.
I started this crazy train 28 years ago in high school. Graduating from red man to Levi, to skoal and then the almighty Copenhagen.
Incredibly enough, went thru high school, college, and 20 years of marriage before a funny thing happened. I went out on the town a couple of weeks ago , drank myself silly and was so hung over the next day I could not even think about dipping.

I had been trying to quit and made some half ass decisions in the past to try but this felt different. My body was telling me to stop.
I thought, "MY god, what if I just don't dip today?"
I made it thru the day and the next morning found the KTC site. What a powerful idea, quit with somebody. Not just somebody, but people who understand my pain and my desire to make a change in my life.

I finally realize I can't do it by myself. The accountability is one thing, but the camaraderie for me has been the key. I'm 12 days quit today, it feels great.

Lots of Xmas gatherings coming up, have to keep an eye on the drinking and stay quit for today.
12 days is great, keep it up! You will find it keeps getting better.
Keep active on this site and building your quit. Spend time each day reading, learning, and building. One day at a time.
I'll quit with you today!
Fish, eat, sleep. Repeat.
