Well, letÂ’s do this for real this time. I have frequented this site a lot with thoughts of quitting but never made the jump into the community to get help. I never lasted more than a day or two.
IÂ’ve been dipping for about 8 years now and IÂ’m so sick of the habit. I saw another user say this but itÂ’s gotten to the point of not even wanting a dip because my gums are sore but I throw one in anyway. IÂ’m so sick of staying up late panicking looking at pictures of oral cancer or being afraid of going to the dentist. I already screwed my mouth up enough with gum recession and really donÂ’t want to hurt myself anymore.
I will stop this time. I just found out my wife is pregnant and itÂ’s time to make quitting a reality and not some thought in my head. I need to be here a good long time for her and for my future child. I just dumped two full cans down the toilet and plan on grabbing sunflower seeds and gum in the morning before work.
I need to get serious about this and I know I can do it. I quit drinking January 6 2018 (I guess IÂ’m prone to addiction) 'bang head' and had little to no problem stopping thanks to the community and partnership of AA so IÂ’m looking to use that same accountability on this website to help me kill the can!
