Switch to water if you can. If you've had 3 cups, you don't even have to worry about headaches or anything like that from caffeine.

Sleep tends to disappear in the first few days, and you won't need the extra stimulant. Trust me...switch to water.
drinking water as we speak.. I typically am pretty hydrated, just had some extra coffee this morning

Howdy ya'll from Fort Worth, Texas

Was recommended to this site by a former dipper of a can a day Copenhagen.

Been a dipper since junior year of HS, almost 9 years ago. Went through a can (Skoal Straight) every two days, about 5 dips per day.

Mom is a dental hygienist and has been trying to get me to quit ever since she found out I dipped.

Today is Day 1, had my last dip at 8pm last night. Flushed the rest of the can down the toilet. Quitting cold turkey, no medications or nicotine alternatives.

Thank you for the site and support, what a great idea!

You are making the best decision of your young life to quit this shit right now. I was just a little younger than you when I STARTED! Good for you! Learn how to post roll, Post roll Everyday and make friends to weave a web of support and accountability. You can do this.
Welcome man, and check out our Welcome Center. It will tell you what we do here, why we do it, and how to do it. You are in the November 2014 group. This signifies when you will be 100 days quit. This isn't the day that you are "cured". It is simply a milestone.

Now, one big thing...we don't quit for life here. We make the decision to be quit, and then we keep making that decision to be quit. Post your promise once a day that you are quit, but act and decide to be quit every moment from here on out. Plan to be quit and you will be.

Drink tons of water, exercise, and watch the caffeine for the next few days. Mix it up here, and make some friends. You can do this because we are.
the last three things I plan on doing big time! Caffeine may be a tough one, I've already had 3 cups of coffee this morning.
Switch to water if you can. If you've had 3 cups, you don't even have to worry about headaches or anything like that from caffeine.

Sleep tends to disappear in the first few days, and you won't need the extra stimulant. Trust me...switch to water.
In the end I Surrender, I and I alone accept that I have and always will have a Nicotene ADDICTION. It is my choice to quit, but I can't do it alone. I get to go down this path one time, I want to do it right. I recognize that my word, my integrety to you is on the line and is only as good as my actions. Caving is not an option in this plan-Eafman 7/11

I am not cured. I will quit one day at a time. I will continue to do what works. Posting roll everyday. To do otherwise would be foolish on my part. You can do this-Ready 12/11

Great news, now here are a couple of things you need to do next...(the below underlined and bold words are links to the KTC site)

Learn how to Post Roll

Then, go post roll in PreHOF November 2014 Group

Then third, call your mom up and thank her; then call your friend and thank him. Both of them helped open your eyes, but you need to do this all for you. Explore the site, read the stories here, my favorites are the Kern Story and the Sean Marsee story. If all that shit doesn't help you stay quit then you are beyond help.

We are here to help, now let's do this.
