KIPP,

You've joined a lot of bad ass quitters in the December 2011 group. Post roll, keep your word and repeat. It ain't gonna be easy, but if I can do it, you can do it. Follow the plan, and you WILL be quit. 100%, guaranteed.

Good to be quit with you. Yell if you need anything.

I started using chewing tobacco when I was 18 years old, all of my buddies on the ball team did it. So I've been doing it for almost six years now. At first it was cool and felt nice to get the buzz along with the juice in my mouth right after a big meal. BUT NOW, it seems like i have a chew in my mouth 18 hours of the day. I absolutely hate the fact that I still do this nasty crap. I wake up every morning saying today is the day, but by lunch time I often fail. I hate the feeling of a horse throat, heartburn, burning lips, and ripped up gums. I'm sick of having a water bottle full of brown spit in my car and around my work desk everyday. I've been with my girlfriend now for six months and she has no idea I dip (she would be totally grossed out if she knew). Every time before we hang out I always have to clean my car to ensure there are no bottles cans floating around my car. It's crazy, before I took that first dip I never would have thought about doing this stuff, but now it's hard to kick it. I've tried hundreds of times but failed. I've quit for periods of up to 60 days but ended up chewing again. I've chewed lots of different stuff but this last year I've been chewing grizzly wintergreen pouches. I'm really hoping I can get the encouragment and support to quit here. Hopefully this will be a good outlet. This is one of my last options. I know If I can quit this my whole world can change. I haven't had any dip in a few hours, so my official quit date is tomorrow september 14th, 2011. Please give any guidance or encouragement that you can....all is greatly needed and appreciated... Thanks a lot

Jay
You'll be able to join wo1miles and me and a ton of others who all have stories that are so similar to yours that it's not funny...well...they're so similar because we're addicts.

You're making a good move coming here. learn to post roll, and either do it now since you're quit or do it first thing in the morning. Either way, understand that once you post roll, that's your promise that you're not putting that shit in your lip that day.

You can do it; I look forward to see you posting with those of us who will be Hall of Famers in December.

Good for you man. I'm right there with you. While I counted today as my first full day off of nicotine, Monday was the day I quit. Finished my tin by noon and signed up for this site. There are a few people I've talked to that are on day or two.

I used to try hiding my dipping from my girlfriends but gave up after a while. I could go a day or two if I had too, but why hide who you are. So if a girl didn't like it tough shit. My parents on the other hand, i never let them see it if I could avoid it. 26 years old and I was hiding from them essentially.

Road will be tough. I'm not feeling good at all, but I'd rather have this feeling than putting another dip in. Good luck man. Message me if you ever care to talk.
Day 1: 09/12/2011
HOF: 12/20/2011
1 year: 09/11/2012

HOF Speech: Day 100, Just another day in the life of Timeless

Now, like all great plans, my strategy is so simple an idiot could have devised it.

Welcome. Good first step. But, post your day 1 NOW if you are truly done. Then tomorrow, post day 2. Own the quit, read EVERYTHING on this site and ask for help.
Your mind is a lying, cheating, stealing whore. Your body is a saint. Now, who are YOU going to listen to?
