Hey tex, I don't know ya but I do care enough to tell ya, don't ever take that chan-shit again.  That. Shit can really screw with you.  Even the packaging warning label tells you to handcuff your ass to the bed so you don't sleep walk doing crazy shit all night.  Nope.  Take the bull by the horns and man up and say no.  Two emotions come real quick.  First it sucks.   But second, it's peaceful.  Knowing your doing the right thing.  Knowing your taking your freedom and your life back. You can do it. We all started at day 1.  Then went to day 2.  No short cuts.  And the best thing is, it really does get better.  Proud to be quit with you.
I can get behind a quitter like you Tech! (If you post roll EVERYDAY) You have tasted the kool-aid and accept it for the power it can give you instead of trying to make up your own rules. I will stand by you EDD while we do this ODAAT! Post roll in May 2014 we are here for you to rely upon, but you have to do your part.

LTT,
You have received some great advice thus far for some good men. I do want to add a few nuggets of wisdom that I think may be beneficial to you.

First off, fake dip or not that is all your choice. I chose to use fake because it helped when craves were bad and got my mind redirected quite easily. I use to dip Copeenhagen LC and nothing I tried was 100% the same. However there are several fakes out there, there here is a link to Smokeless Alternatives and associated coupon codes from KTC and the fine work of quitters here.

Other than that I found that cinnamon candies were an absolute must (Hot Tamales, Red Hots, etc.). Also note my lessons learned, if you eat a whole bag of Lifesavers mints in one day you will spend that evening on the toilet as they are a diuretic.

Then, drink lots of water. Flushing your body with water helps and since I am not a Dietician or a Physician I cannot explain the science behind it but I can vouch that it works.

Finally, quit for you and pour 100% of yourself into it, otherwise you may become another statistic, not that I doubt you but I want to see you quit and not be a stat. If you ever need an ear to bend PM me and we can exchange phone numbers.

Grizz is right on here long tail. You have to want this. I believe for some reason you really do because of the stoppages you have had and the trouble of getting a prescription for chantix twice. Now, go get it man. Let's hear some positive attitude. Let's get fired up, Like high school football in TX fired up.

KTC and the thousands of quitters here will help you but we need you 100 percent quit. No nic gum, no patches, no nicotine whatsoever. Let's pull up our depends and get our quit on. What do you say???

Remove luck and hope from your vocabs. Also get rid of try.

Quitting is about making a manly decision and acting on it. Do not put any nicotine in your system

You'll notice after about 10 days of being quit that you feel noticeably stronger. That'll be because you're no longer riddling your body with nicotine poison. You'll be clean. The other nicotine addicts in your life (friends family coworkers) will be using words like can't hopefully and want. They're scared and they're blind. You men are awake and reclaiming your lives.

Congratulations.

Fake dip or no fake dip. You first have to want to quit. The fake shit is just a booster for oral fixation. Just quit. Its simple but hard. You can do it

LTT -- welcome aboard, and look forward to seeing you post roll in the May 2014 Quit Group (Project Mayhem). Here's how: index.php?showtopic=50

Dig into the Welcome Center, too (orange button in top left corner): index.php?showforum=13

Lots of info to absorb, but some of the most powerful things you read will be from guys who came along long before you and me -- and are still posting roll and doling out advice. Sometimes it's friendly, sometimes it's harsh, but it's always with your best interests in mind. Make some contacts, hop into chat room when you have a moment, and look forward to seeing you on the roll tomorrow.

Hello everyone. Hopefully this forum can help me. I have dipped for 18 years. In august I tried chantix and it worked but then I slipped up and started again.  I again got the chantix in December and had my last dip and made it a little over a month. Now the cravings have returned with a fury and I am starting to do it again.

In the past I tried the fake stuff but it was awful. I have dipped regular copenhagen and Copenhagen straight long cut. Does anyone know of any fake dips that taste like these?

I am looking forward to interacting here and hopefully getting through this.

Thanks!
Welcome!

I used cope long cut. I've been quit for 43 days  the smokey mountain straight is ok. I didn't use any fake stuff for the first week or so of my quit.....so that's prob why it tastes ok. I think if I had gone from the real stuff to the fake it would prob taste bad.

Make sure  check out the welcome center with the orange color tab above.

PM me if u need anything.

Quit on!
