Might wanna try and type better haha. I wasn't trying to say I'm not addicted to nic, I mean obviously I've been going back to it like clockwork at set times EVERY day, so yeah there's a habit, no doubt.

I read this: http://blog.killthecan.org/?p=34, and one of the comments said exactly what I was trying to get at. Some thing's so hand in hand with dipping.

I'm on day 2 with NO nicotine.
i no know better how to type...actually i teach and by the time i get to this place grammar is out the door after what my seventh grade classes claim to be english both spoken and written...it's just my schtick

if you dip at a common time everyday....ya might be an addict

if you sneak a dip when you can...ya might be an addict

if you use nicotine at all...ya probably are an addict

hate to tell you this, it's the most addictive substance on earth...ya are more likely than not an addict

the first step is to realize that, doesn't make ya a doosh just gives ya a better chance of kicking the nic bitch to the curb

no you're not insane, the nic bitch is working on ya cause ya done cut her off

Hi all, my first post. I've been dipping for about 5 years, and in the last few years, I've avereged 6 dips a day. Here's the thing, I can go a full work day without one bit of the stuff so I don't think my problem is with nicotine withdrawl. No, I normally only dip when I'm sitting at the computer or in front of the TV. I think it's the getting used to having something in your lip and then nothing. Does anyone or did anyone have the same issue? Or am I going insane?
Your quit should be pretty easy then. Just stop using computers and watching tv.
oh yeah.....

i ate reese cups....lots and lots of reese cups......

60 freakin lbs. of reese cups.....

back down 40 tho....and no dip

This is not a habit. It is a serious chemical addiction. You are addicted to nicotine. Period. Don't kid yourself. If you're not addicted, and you want to quit, why haven't you?

Sure, there is also an oral fixation, but that is an afterthought. If you think you aren't addicted to nicotine, quit cold turkey, but use any of the nic free fake dips (Smokey Mountain, Hooch, etc).

Step 1. Stop lying to yourself about your addiction.
Step 2. Post Roll (your promise not to do nicotine) in August group first thing in the morning.
Step 3. Keep that promise all day.
Step 4. Repeat.

If you aren't ready for these steps, click all over this site and read EVERYTHING. There is a lot of wisdom and info here. Use it.
