Hello hammydon.  Welcome to KTC and congrats on taking the necessary steps to quitting tobacco.  It's impressive to see someone quit first and then make it to this site a month later knowing they could use some support.  Lucky for you you found the one site that can do exactly that.  The resources at your finger tips will help but it's the brothers in your quit group and those veterans you enlist to your cause which will make the biggest difference.  A quit is a tricky thing.  It's unique to everyone here. Your doing great Hammy, just keep showing up and posting. You'll get the hang of the details. I think you'll find things get easier than they were on your own.

I humped that fucking Kodiak bear for 23 years and this place has saved me from that hell for 135 days and counting. I don't think I ever made it more than a couple days on my own without any kind of nic replacement product. Have a plan for the holiday weekend and check your Inbox (1) thats my number, shoot me a text or call me if you need anything.

That's pretty heroic to have come this far on your own- keep it up and we'll both be able to knock this addiction for good. I've found this site to be full of support and wisdom to help me get through some times when I would have caved in the past, so i recommend reading all you can on the site, following the tips others give you, and "blogging" your quit experiences for support and later reference. Looking foward to getting to know you more as we carry on one day at a time.

Strong work doing this solo well now you found us to help you carry the water. You have the right attitude towards being quit but would like to share with you how we do it here. We take it one day at a time ODAAT forever is just too daunting.

Read read read listen learn all you can about your enemy the nic bitch. She does not play fair.

Good job posting roll it is the cornerstone of what we do here it is a promise to YOU and us that you will not use for today only.

Hi friends, I am 48 years old, and I quit Kodiak after 19 years, on October 21, 2013. I'm a musician and filmmaker in Chicago. I have finally decided to take back my mouth, my body, my personality - and get FREEDOM FROM TOBACCO. I appreciate all of your support, and am a new user to the site: so I am learning how to support YOU as well!

I'm 36 days into my quit as of today (November 25, 2013) and it is still kickin my ass, but I am in for the long haul.. which means forever.

Looking forward to quitting with you all every day from now on!!!
