ddevries,

The first three days will be the worst, but things will get better. If you drink coffee you may want to cut back or go to decaf at first. Because the lack of nicotine in your body increases the effects of caffeine 10 times. If you start having a rough time stay close to the site. go to live chat and someone will help talk you through your craving. Read all you can drink lots of water and hang on it will be bumpy for a couple of days. But remember it is so worth it when your free of the bitch we call nicotine!
welcome d......after 29 plus years of cope....

gotta say a few things helped me....

Read and learn...tons of helpful what to expect and how to beat it info.
Post early...everyday....takes dip off the table for that day.
Put everything...and i mean everything on the back burner for a few days or weeks.....explain to your family that this is something you need to do for you even tho they will reap the benefits....it's gotta be selfish and self-centered for a little while.

Post and get involved....the relationships build quickly cuz you know they are doing and have done what you are doing. the path has been cleared...you just gotta walk down it.

Find someone....in your group or on the site....and identify with them.....I followed my man buck all the way to 271 days....i know when i see his name i will not let him down and will post and keep my word that day.....and he does the same.

We got each other's back....above and beyond the normal posting of roll....he will not let me fail and vice versa....i know if i need help, all i gotta do is call.

Get you a buck......

If i can do anything to help you whip this....let me know.

Hi all-
I am a husand, father, and grandfather. Been dippin Copenhagen for 30 years. I actually joined the site a month ago, but made the decision yesterday to actually quit - then remembered to check back in here.

I can list a bunch of reasons not to chew. It all boils down to wanted to live a full, happy life, and to be a good role model to my kids.

Well, I am very early in day two - looking forward to someday being able to say I quit!
