You guys are all crazy as hell...yeah I fit right in. Thing is that I am all alone with my addiction once I get to work (no Cell phones). I can hack it. I have been in much worse places in my life. This is day number 13 of my quit and I do not intend to go back to the beginning.

Thankyou for the tough love exhibited on this site. God knows one of the reasons I would not want to CAVE is all the SHIT you guys would give me when I came back for seconds.

Today was my second day at my new job. The dip demon jumped on my shoulder about halfway through the day and started demanding I ask a co-worker for a dip. I suffered thinking about this for about 30 minutes then finally approached him and told him I had been contemplating asking him for some nasty Grizzly...he said "well do you want a dip ?"  I said no thank you I quit and went back to work.

A crave is only that and nothing more. We can say NO.
Should have called a brother. Sorry you battled on your own. Get a number of someone you can call or go into chat.

A crave happens but I think you entertained it too much. Call, text or go into chat where you can get support.
Glad you held firm. Yes, she'll whisper in your ear. I'm glad you listened to the little angel duck quacking into your other ear.

Stay strong brother. That's a victory today, but a scary one. Proud to be quit with you.
Tomorrow you should approach the same guy and tell him that you are quit and that if you EVER ask him for a dip again he should kick you on the stones. Further, tell him that if he ever voluntarily ask you if you want one, that you will empty the can on the floor. Period.

Post roll early and take caving off the table for the remainer of the today.
Great advice ^^ use it,
Good job yesterday. Next time you see that co worker, watch him closely. Watch how he can't make it an hour without putting a pinch of death in his pie hole. Watch how he proudly puts the poison in his pie hole and suckles with it. All the while it is taking his freedom and leading him around by a chain. Watch him closely,, loves the poison more than his family, friends and himself. Yea, I said friend to. Your not very high on his list either when the poison is calling. He would gladly do just about anything for that can of poison. Your co worker is bound tied and chained brother.

Not you,,, your a bad ass quitter. No can leads you around anymore. Telling you when you can go to bed. What time to wake up. When to go to the store and what to spend your money on. You don't need a can helping you do your job. You are in control now brother. Screw, the can,, screw your coworker and screw big tobacco. I quit with you today.
Klugman, great job on your quit so far. These folks who know way more than I do about quit, have given excellent advice.
I only add to what MThomas said. Remember, caving is not an option. You posted, and gave your word, so when a crave hits, there is nothing to consider except getting through it. No need to wrestle with it. Instead, be pissed off that the nicbitch is still barking at your door- tell it to bark all it wants, it ain't coming in. Go about your day.
Again, great job so far. Glad to be quit with you.
Klugman, we are all here for you. Continue to stay strong all of us Duck Fips not only promise on a daily basis but we have a chance of being one of the most memorable HOF classes on this site. Let's all continue to be bad asses together.
Good job-

Print out the contract- keep it with you at all times and use it as a last line- Call one of you quit brothers- send a text- get into chat-

Grab some of the pubes on the underside of your nutsack and give a good yank- then shove the pubs in your mouth instead- That's better than the ole wad of death! (I just came up with that!)

The poison sucks. I hate it. I hated it this morning, I hated it at noon, I hated it at supper and I hate it tonight. I enjoy hating it so much I'm going to wake up tomorrow and start over hating it. I quit with anyone that wants to hate it with me.

Day 11 : Today was my first day at a new job. I did really well today and didn't crave at all...I mean not once. I hate dip so much and I hate the lies that lead us to dip and smoke in the first place. I hate the fact that I quit for 5 years and then started back again over a woman.

I love that I have succeeded Quitting again and I love the fact that I have learned so much in the past 11 days about myself and my addiction. I love that no matter what comes my way I WILL NEVER DIP AGAIN.

Thanks again for your support.
Klug,
This is your true quit, your real quit, your actual quit. That thing before was just a stoppage. Now, you are quit. And a damn fine quit it is.
Those first crave free days are fantastic aren't they? The first glimpses of the world unplugged from the nic-matrix. True freedom.
Glad to quit with you.

I am day number 10 today of my Quit.  The physical part of the addiction is gone now and it is the mental stage now.  Cravings are sporadic and I am only reminded I dipped when I go to do anything.

I am determined to make this quit stick and go the rest of my life nicotine free.

I really appreciate the support I have been given by more than a few of the members here. I am not much for talking on the phone or remember everyone's  names but I do appreciate your time and support.
Sounds like you are in a good place. Stay close to the site and read read read. Be ready for what's ahead. You've got this.
Prepare yourself for great highs and some lows, these will even out eventually. You are right though, now make your promise every morning, keep it and repeat.
