Quitting is really simple.

Read everything on here, post roll call each morning and don't dip. Wow....that sounds so easy, doesn't it?

If you read through the other intro's you may see some of my same words on them but they always hold true so I will just repeat them...

You are in for one nasty fight but you have the tools here to make it.

Go load yourself up with gum, mints, fake chew, seeds and beef jerky. Also get some member phone numbers right now, they will help you through the rough parts.

Next, exercise to exhaustion every single day and drink so much water that you feel like you may bust. Both of these will help.

Make sure your wife reads about what you are going through. 99% chance that you are going to be a short fussed dick for the next 3-4 weeks. Try not to take it out on her and the kids. Get on here and take it out on us, we will be fine.
Oh little worm-dirt...you are so scary...F' OFF...!!!

You've come to the right place. Reach out to people and make connections/friendships. Accountability is a huge factor in staying quit. Exchange numbers with someone (or a few someones) and keep each other accountable. Post roll and promise to yourself and everyone here to stay off of nicotine today.

Most importantly, the thing I've come to realize over the last 30 days is: quit for today. Don't worry about tomorrow. This is a difficult thing we're doing. Probably one of the most difficult we'll do in our lives. Take it one day at a time.

PM me if you need anything or if I can help in any way.

NO MORE CAVING!!!!
Yup, ^^^^^that there is pretty much what quitting is all about. As my fellow quit brethren have said, we do this ODAATÂ…one day at a time. That's all you need to concern yourself with. The only acceptable alternative is to break down the day into smaller segments, like hours. If you follow this prescription, you will find yourself on the road less travelled, that is the road to quitting. Many try, and those who "try" fail. Those who quit, AND, Â…quit like fuck, will succeed.

Make the daily promise, post roll and do yourself a huge ass favor, make this your one and only day 1. If you do that then what I quoted above will work itself out. Trust me...I'm about 4 months in and I've made that daily promise every single day. Never missedÂ…and my quit is stronger today than ever. See you on roll tomorrow. Quit on!

Hey Everyone. My name is Kit and I've been a dipper for the last 19 years. I was also a smoker for 12 years but I quit that about 7 months ago.Pretty much anything with nicotine has been my vice over the last 2 decades. I work outside all day every day and have no restrictions as to what I can and can not do. Pretty much everything I do during my day is a trigger for having a dip.  Its amazing that I was able to quit smoking, but for some reason, quitting dip is much MUCH more difficult. I've tried many times before, but it needs to be done with now. Not only for my health but for the health of my family as well. After doing some research the last few days, I really like the mission of this site, as well as the accountability.  So... I got my sunflower seeds, jolly ranchers, and gum and  I'm in for the long haul this time. NO MORE CAVING!!!!
Welcome go to the welcome center learn how to post roll. read read read listen learn... read as much as you can about nicotine. once you are here awhile come back and read our intro thread and examine it.

You haven't really quit anything you have just changed the delivery system you are still feeding yourself the poison. You are still feeding your cells the poison they have grown used to.

I am not going to lie its going to suck but you can do this. We do it one day at a time ODAAT. we quit for today only...forever is too daunting of a task but we can do today.
Welcome Kit, great decision to be quit! You can do this!
As trauma said, it isn't easy but it is simple. Post roll every day promising not to use. Keep your promise today. Do it again tomorrow. Allow others to help hold you accountable and do the same for them. Read everything you can on this site, starting with the welcome center tab on the main banner.
Thousands of us have used this site to stop dipping. You can too, but you got to want to be quit.
Congrats on the quit, kit. This is the place to be if you really want to quit. PM me if you need a number or anything.
