Bump as there is a fresh day 2 today in April 2013
In the end I Surrender, I and I alone accept that I have and always will have a Nicotene ADDICTION. It is my choice to quit, but I can't do it alone. I get to go down this path one time, I want to do it right. I recognize that my word, my integrety to you is on the line and is only as good as my actions. Caving is not an option in this plan-Eafman 7/11

I am not cured. I will quit one day at a time. I will continue to do what works. Posting roll everyday. To do otherwise would be foolish on my part. You can do this-Ready 12/11

To overcome your addiction you must comprehend what it means to fail-Razd 3/12

Theres a lot of people that come here, especially vets, that WANT to be reminded that they are addicts.-Tarpon 6/12

Just as a building starts with architectural drawings. Your daily quit begins with a promise.-Scowick 2/13

Here and now, focused on today, minute by minute, whatever it takes, I promise to all my bros and myself not to become a negative stat and stay quit!-krok 1/15

I want everyone to be quit. Even the assholes.-Probe1957 1/18

Ignoring history or erasing history fixes nothing and leads you inevitably down the same path.-69franx 04/30/2021

hey erb. Where you at? I don't see you name on the March Roll. Your not in the game until you post roll. If you fucked up and caved get your act together and try again. We'll leave the lights on.

Word. 30 and Soul are badasses. They know of what they speak. There is no way around the misery of those first few days, but you only have to suffer through that once. Stay clean, keep the nic out of your system, and everything you're feeling will remain in the rearview mirror. It's just that simple.

We are all addicts. You need to understand that. I struggled with accepting it, but that one fact makes this thing doable. As addicts, we can never have "just one". All I can truly promise you is that I am quit for today. I've posted roll and I will keep that promise.

Reach out if you need anything at all.

You keep fighting brother. You have made a tremendous decision. And let me applaud you for the walking and running when you need it. To me, in my opinion that is a perfect response. Exercise. Water. Diet. Check all these things. Then you listen to 30 and follow his advice.

There are a bunch of folks here that know exactly what you are feeling and dealing with. Stick with us and we'll pull you through.

erb...

I do have some advice...jump in with both feet: Click on the WELCOME CENTER read #4 and then read #3, watch this and then head on over to the March 2012 quit group and post up a day 1. Use the strength of this site, read all of the wisdom. These first three days are gonna suck, but remember them and know you never have to go through them again...

Glad to be quit with you,

30

It sucks. No way around it, but it will get better soon. Believe it. Exercise and lots of water are very helpful. I like sour candy, hard cinnamon candy, gum, sunflower seeds, spicy food. Some folks use the fake dip but thats not for me. Hang tough-your doing the right thing. You are only a few days from feeling good likeyou probably haven't for years. Pm me if you want to chat.

Withdrawl is better than death

Had my very last dip at 11:50pm on Saturday Nov 26th. Spit that crap out at midnight and haven't had any nicotine or tobacco since. Smoked for 3 years then switched to dip for the past 7 years. If I knew it would be this hard to quit I would have never started. I'm still in the "fog" and while at work occasionally need to leave my office to walk or sometimes run because I feel pretty darn close to having a nervous breakdown 'bang head'. What keeps me going is knowing the pain of quitting is better than dying young.

Any advice, tips or support is welcome.

Thank you
