Hey Bodie. You found the right place for your quit. All you need to do now is quit. Don't wait. I had a date picked too. I logged on here to see what the support and chat room was like so that on that date, I would have a place to go "if it got rough". I quit that night because of this sight, five days prior to the "planned" quit date. Not one of us here can help you until you help yourself and quit now. See ya soon?

Any tips for you, hmmm? Yes, I have one. Dump your shit and commence the quit. You are not dipping becasue you WANT to, you are dipping because you HAVE to. It is called addiction. But, you can be free if you choose to be. The wisdom and support can be found on this site, you bring the balls.

Nice bodie, welcome! These guys are right, don't wait another minute. Check out the fuschia colored tab up top to see how to post roll. Then go here (click) and post up. It's that easy.
Lets do it bodie. It's been laid out for you. The only reason to continue until Monday is an addicts excuse to continue using. I can't tell you how many dates I set. How many mondays went by and since it was tuesday might as well keep using.

This quit was on a friday. Now that I think about it there was only one thing special about that day. I didn't plan it. It happened on that day because of all these guys right here. They saved my life brother. I began reading the critical information on this site and decided to take my life back. I wasn't going to wait one more day, because I knew my addicted, idiot self would keep using if I didn't flush that poison right now. 325 days later i'm still quit and feeling like a million bucks. One of the best decisions I ever made.

There is only one perfect day to quit and that is today my friend. It would be great to quit with you on this glorious SUNDAY.

The poison sucks. I hate it. I hated it this morning, I hated it at noon, I hated it at supper and I hate it tonight. I enjoy hating it so much I'm going to wake up tomorrow and start over hating it. I quit with anyone that wants to hate it with me.

Hey everyone,

My name is Bodie, I'm from Calgary, AB and I've been a dipper for 11 years. I've had thoughts about quitting before but I recently found out that my mom is suffering from emphysema, caused by years of smoking. I guess I had never taken seriously how chewing could affect me later in life, so I made a promise to her and to myself that I would quit on Monday, 6 January 2014.

Anybody have any good tips for me? I've been looking at trying a tobacco-less substitute like Smokey Mountain or Hooch Snuff. Has anyone had any success with either of these?

Anyway, I'm looking forward to being part of this community and hope to meet some fellow quitters.

Thanks for reading and all the best,

Bodie
Hey Bodie, first off welcome to KTC.
Secondly let me ask you this. What do you expect to gain from waiting until Monday to quit? Do you think it is going to make it easier because you picked a date? Well bud the answer is no. It's not going to get easier, in fact you are only playing Russian roulette each time you put that shit in your mouth. It's poison man. It causes CANCER for Christ sakes. And you want to wait till monday? Well you asked if anyone had any tips for you, and I got one

Throw that can of shit down the fuckin toilette and quit right now, this very second. Don't poison yourself anymore. Don't take that chance. It's time to get real man. I'm ready to quit with you right now.here at KTC we quit every day, we don't wait till Mondays

About smokey mountain. You do whatever it takes to keep from giving in to the nicotine bitch I. E smokey mountain, sunflower seeds, gum, punching bag anything. Just don't use nicotine in any form. I like smokey mountain WG.

Let's go man, you can do this. Post roll in PRE HOF April 2014 and promise to stay quit and keep that promise. We got your back
Welcome Bodie. Your absolutely right, every time your using nicotine your are causing damage to your body. It's poison. If you put out rat poison wouldn't you expect it to kill the rats? Your body is compensating for it but what day will it be that your body stops compensating ? Here in KTC we are taking our freedom back one day at a time. You have an open invitation to join us. We are all addicts. So are you. Sad but true. So, read all the into and getting started stuff. The method is you are in a quit group. You would be in the April 2014 group. It's named that because your group would hit its 100th day of quit in April. And here that achievement is called HOF. It is the first goal for a quitter to achieve. The only cost of KTC membership is posting roll. If you'll commit to that, post roll early every day, post 100% of the time, you'll make it buddy. Wanna join us ? Come on in.
Take the quit plunge and follow the KTC roadmap. It works. No nicotine.
