Dip = focus? IÂ’ve lost something here. Either way the fog is definitely thick for awhile. Either way I can assure you someone or should I say several folks will come looking for you Thursday! I stopped quit a few times but it took me 38 years later and Ktc to pull it off. DonÂ’t let this opportunity go by or you may have grandkids before you quit! Be here early we will welcome you with open arms. Quit on! ODAAT
Tobacco is so addictive it took me a year after a massive heart attack, in which doctor confirmed caused from dipping to finally put a lid on the bitch! ODAAT EDD

I'm going to break with everyone here, and agree with you that you shouldn't quit when you are taking exams. During exams you need to be at the top of your game, and you are not at the top of your game the first several days when you quit.

That being said, you are fighting an uphill battle by setting a quit date. I sure hope you are committed, and that you follow through on Thursday.
I agree exactly, I feel as though given that I have already set this milestone for quitting it would be very easy to, say on Wednesday right before my last exam, convince myself it is easy to throw a lip in to get that extra focus. I want to quit after exams so that I can fully dedicate myself to both my exams first and then go into quitting with a completely dedicated mindset with nothing else to worry about for a while. With time off, I think it would be easiest to envelope myself in quitting and the KTC program.

I completely understand what others are saying about quitting now and needing to be dedicated as well as setting a quit date, but I think it is no different than if I decided to come onto this website on Thursday in general. I guess it just so happens that I found KTC before I decided it was time for quitting.

Thank you all for the support, I know it is going to be different/harder given that I am setting a quit date but I think it will make my transition into the quitting mentality a lot easier if I am able to do it when I am not struggling with exams as it is.

I will be posting roll on Thursday be sure to check in.

Just pull the trigger and be done with it. Don't put it off. Just do it. No excuses. If you really want to be successful at this you need to be 100% dedicated to quitting because you want to quit and you are willing to do whatever it takes to remain quit. And trust me you must do whatever it takes because that is what will be required of you. You and I are our own worst enemies. We are addicts. You must sacrifice the addict in you to the quitter in you. If you have made the choice to quit then do it now. If you are not ready to quit now then you probably don't have what it takes to quit yet. Unfortunately some of us need to do quite a bit of damage to ourselves before we have what it takes. Myself included.

What is going on man?!

First off, it is amazing that you are finally realizing that you need to quit!

But my question to you is, Why next Thursday? That is not going to help you at all, You're just telling yourself mentally that you are going to quit and I would put money down that you find an excuse to move that date back come Thursday.

QUIT NOW!!! It can only get better... You don't know if any of the dips that you take from now until Thursday will be the one to give you cancer...Think about that for a second..

If your reasoning for quitting next Thursday is because of college finals, I'm calling that cop out right now.. I am a senior at college and I am entering finals this week as well and I am quit! So why can't you? You're going to hear it from everyone that waiting to quit is the wrong idea because it is....Bite the bullet, step up and quit now!

This will be your quit group MARCH GROUP CLICK ME!!!

Every morning, we wake up, log on to KTC and post roll in our quit group.. It takes all of 30 seconds to do, think you can handle that? Here is a link on how to post roll POSTING ROLL LINK

Make the right decision man, do not wait to quit, I am 23 and have already had oral surgery due to chewing tobacco.. I challenge you to quit with me today, and I will be with you every step of the way... What do you say, are you up for the challenge?

Quitting Next Thursday
« on: December 09, 2017, 08:24:00 PM »
Hello everyone, I am finishing up my last semester of college next Thursday and it is time for me to quit dipping. I am not sure how this works, given that I have not actually stopped dipping yet but I feel as though the concentration issues I have had when trying to quit dipping in the past would have very significant negative effects on my performance on these upcoming exams.

I am sick of the sore gums, hiding dipping from my significant other and family, and most of all tired of not being able to get through anything without a dip. It is time for dipping to go.
