Good morning Day 4. I feel a little bit serene this morning. Def. feel much better than the last two days. I know enough to underestimate the amount of re-programming my brain must due. I will stay quit.

Today went pretty well. Day 2 (yesterday) has been the worst thus far. Lots of water and lots of exercise (helps to have two dogs with very high activity requirements). My mouth is already feeling better and my fingers are not stained!

Feels good to not have that stupid spit bottle in my ride as well.
Way to go man! One day at a time, we got this!

Good job, kevin. Just keep doing what you're doing. Day by Day you're getting there. Just keep in mind what you're going thru and remember it. I kept a journal of my quit and I would like back at it from time to time just to remember what I felt like and what was going on. Just a constant reminder of why I stay quit.

Morning of day 3 - couldn't sleep worth jack shit.   Don't care though, it is all worth it.  Embracing this shit and am fully cognizant of never wanting to go through this again.

I quit again today.   Nic no longer has power over me.
After today the nic will be out of your system. One day at a time.. first month is crucial.. be sure and drink lots of water, and exercise as much as possible.. It'll clear your head, and make you tired so you'll sleep good. Be involved and read as much as possible. We'll show you the way... I'm at 165 and I'm a different person now.. Physically  mentally.. it's all worth it..quit with you..
If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball.

This is the roughest, roughest part of your quit physically. Your body is dependent on the poison, and thinks you are killing it. In reality, you are saving it.

Imagine yourself as driving 24,000 miles everyday to the same destination (We'll call it Point B.) for the last 40 years. There are oodles and oodles of roads to take to Point B. Some are more direct than others. Some are more scenic. Some have better places to stop for food along the way.

Now, imagine that a few years ago, you got a GPS in your car. This GPS got you through the drive pretty easily, but it only wants you to go one route. This route sucks. The road is shitty. It tears up your tires. There's some weird chemical stains on the paint of your car from passing under some bridge that is always under construction. The hookers are men.

But the GPS keeps sending you this route because it is the most efficient route that the GPS knows, and because it is more advantageous for the maker of the GPS. You see, there is a special store there that sells this GPS. The GPS leads you there so you may update it every day. If you don't update, your car may shut down or you might get lost. It's guaranteed money, and while you think you're just out for a drive, this company has you enslaved to it.

If you wander off course, the GPS will bring you back.

Sounds pretty shitty, huh?

Here at the KTC, we fucking plot our own course.

We take out a map each morning, and we avoid that horrible route our GPS was taking everyday. We tossed that thing out, and we don't ever plan on using it again. We have so many options on the route we take, but only we can and should decide. Once we decide how we're getting there, we just fucking drive. It's that simple.

Sometimes the route sucks. Sometimes it's beautiful.

But it's our path.

Proud of you man.
Good stuff Waste!!! 'Finger' the poison route!

Looks like you beat me quitting by a day, but I think we have the NC thing in common. You said in your intro post that you were looking for herbal stuff in Charlotte. I'm near Raleigh. Congrats on day 2.

Tonight had gradually became worse. I feel like everything has this "urgency" that I can only assume is an anxiety related withdrawal symptom. Lots of anxiety, headaches, irritability, lack of focus/concentration.....but not once have I even thought about going to the store for a can of death...

Thanks to you bad ass quitters, I will stay quit.

The good news is that you've made it thru to day 2. Just take care of today, minute by minute. If you're feeling frustrated, angry or any one of many emotions you may be going thru, post on here and get it out. Whatever happens, don't take it out on your family. Just keep doing what got you thru day 1. And like others said, stay out of that tobacco store. To this day, everytime I walk by the tobacco aisle in WalMart, I still start sweating and going into convulsions. But I've learned how to fight it with the help of this site.
