I've decided to quit dipping for good. I have been dipping for almost 2 years. It started out with buddies, then I got my own tins. I decided that I would dip for like three months and then stop so that I wouldn't get addicted. Well, I didn't stop. I have told myself that I am going to quit many times. I threw out tins, did last minute DIP IT ALL FOR MY LAST DIP and then buy a tin the next day. I can't keep giving myself justifications to just dip for a little while longer. I don't want to get to the point where I've been dipping for years and quitting becomes harder and harder. I don't want dipping to define me, and I don't want to be stuck with the ghost of nicotine addiction following me for my entire life. I am done for good, it starts now!
Welcome TJR  congrats on your decision! Like has already been said, it doesn't matter whether it's been months or years or decades of use, we're all getting this done one day at a time. PM me if you want numbers.

Great decision brother!  Get in post roll, then stay quit today.  ODAAT is the key to success.  You will need to fight for this, but you can do it.  I am sure of that.  Welcome aboard!  QLF!

TJR,
You seem to have your head in the right place to actually QUIT this time. As Bean and B-Lo-Matt have said use this site. Read and educate yourself and your life around you (family and friends). If they do not provide you a great safety net the fine folks from KTC are welcome to do so, myself included.

Get to know people on here, post roll and stick around. Do more than the minimum to become a part of this online community and you will be surprised at what it will do for your QUIT.

Other than that quit like a beast every blessed day. I am 95 days quit and loving life more now because of it. Prepare for life to happen and stay strong.

"If you want to quit then stop talking and just QUIT. If you want to kill yourself a bullet is cheaper and faster than a tin, plus it eliminates my hearing you whine and cry like a bitch."

Best thing I have read on KTC...Submitted by tgafish on 7/3/14

Former Skoal Straight and Cope Longcut user that started at the age of 12. QUIT on 7/15/13

Great choice to quit now! Read everything on KTC. Start with the welcome center and post roll. Educate yourself here about your addiction and your enemy: nicotine. Own this quit and be free. PM me if you need a contact or have any questions.

Great choice, TJR. Go to the Welcome Center link above and learn how and why we Post Roll. Then post roll and keep your word and take it ONE DAY AT A TIME.

You can do this, brother!
