Matt I am also in the December group. You are making the right choice. Smokey mountain herbal snuff is a life saver you might want to give it a try. I like grape the best. Take it one day at a time. I'll quit with you today.
Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day?is?the evil thereof.
Matthew 6:34
Quit today just today.

Shit...the roster of studs that just responded to your plea doesn't get much better than that. These quitters are the baddest of bad asses because they quit like fuck day in and day out. Follow their lead brother.

From my perspective, I just wanted to answer your question about how stupid is it to drive around for 45 minutes looking for your favorite dip because every body was out. Well, it's pretty fuckin' stupid and pathetic. And you know what...every single one of us is guilty of pathetic and stupid behavior. Why?...because we are all addicts and addicts do stupid and pathetic things. However, the difference today is, that we are quit. We are quit in every sense and meaning of that word. We quit dip, we quit nicotine and we quit acting like addicts. Notice, I didn't say we weren't addicts...we just don't act like addicts. I want this for you...the ability to look at an addict through the eyes of a quitter. As pathetic as our lives were, the freedom and sense of purpose we have now is a stronger than any addiction...if you let it be. Own it, be it, and become it.

I look forward to seeing you continue to post roll every day.

Thanks guys. I posted role call again today and am feeling pretty good. I may not be posting much but I am reading a lot of other peoples posts which helps greatly.
You are doing the two most important things, Posting roll with December everyday and reading about our addiction. The other thing you should be doing is getting numbers and making some friends you can call and text to help keep each other accountable. Is all pretty simple. It just takes fortitude to earn your freedom. I quit with you today!

Matt, you need to read everything on KTC. There is so much knowledge here for you to beat nicotine addiction, but you need to work it. Roll is a great first step, but the knowledge of what you are fighting, and how others have become quit is powerful.

I've been dipping for about 8 years now and I hate the idea that I can't control my urges. If my urges say dip, I dip. I remember one time I drove around the city for 45 minutes because the only dip I use (Wintergreen Grizzly Pouches) was out everywhere. How stupid is that? Anyway, I've tried to stop dipping before and can usually make it through the week but the weekend always gets me.

Stocked up on Jolly Ranchers and Herbal Snuff.

I did roll call today for the December group which just happens to be the month of my birthday.

Thanks in advance for the help.
