Dalton, you may not be as old as most of us, but it seems to me you are a lot wiser.  See, most of us never even considered quitting till we were much older.  You are way ahead of the curve.  If you are serious about quitting we can help you.  You must want this with every fiber of your being.  You must want it more than the air you breath.  If you want it that bad then prove it to us.  Wake up EVERY morning and sign onto the site.  Go to your quit group and post your pledge not to dip that day.  Go through that day without a dip then do it all over the next day.

With the peer pressure at your age it will not be easy, but you can do this.  Step up to the plat and swing for the fence young man.

You CAN do this!!

Oh and I almost forgot, we don't try to quit we QUIT.
Parputt nailed it. You're a very smart young man. I lost 38 years of my life thinking about quitting. Thing is, an addict is an addict is an addict. No matter how long you've chewed, once you're hooked, she's got you. Here's some good stuff - read every one:

Good thinking man. don't fuck around, quit now. Post roll everyday and read as much of the sites content as you can. If you don't quit now you'll want to quit again in 3 months and then every 3 months after that for the next 10 years until you end up back here, mad at yourself for having not quit at this very moment! One day at a time we can do this.

Excellent. Get on over there and post roll. No time like the present. Post roll, keep your promise by not using nicotine for the day, then repeat the next day.

I commend you for making this decision at your age. I don't mean that in a condescending way but I started around your age and here I'm, now 39, after over 20 years of using. Fortunately I found this site so tomorrow I will be posting up Day 92. However, I WISH I had known better at your age. GOOD job and take it from me, you need to quit NOW.

Shout if you need anything.

Anytime.

I've been quit for 12 days and haven't regretted a single minute of it, even after 8 years of dipping. I'm 22 years old and graduating from college in December. We've got lives ahead of us, that I'll assume will be great to have a jaw for. It ain't worth it to keep feeding USST's bank account and its not worth dying over some wad of poison.

Everyone on here has helped save my life and I'm forever greatful. I wake up each morning and give them my word that I will not dip. Its a great process and expect all the support you need.

PM me if you have any questions.

Welcome Dalton!

You've certainly come to the right place. Besides, age is just a number.

Roll 1

Roll 2

Roll 3

Use the above 3 links to better understand the daily commitment we make on KTC to live nicotine free. It will save your life.

Second, I would recommend reading as much as you can all over the site. Hall Of Fame Speeches and Cancer stories will surely help kick off your quit.

Remember that it is a daily process and that you will never be magically cured from your addiction. But you can, however, stick it to the nic-bitch in more ways than one by fighting through cravings and bending her over when she tries to get inside your skin.

Proud to quit with you today,

JMAC

Trying to quit..
« on: October 26, 2011, 11:44:00 PM »
My name is Dalton, I'm 18 and have been chewing Grizzly for the past three years. I know I may not be as old as most of you, or have chewed as long as y'all, but I wish to quit this poison for the rest of my life and never go back to it. If any of you have any tips or know of any on this website and could direct me to them I would very much appreciate it.
