We don't wish luck here, we quit.

We also post a daily promise to not use nicotine for 24 hours. Here is a link to your group. Please post roll so we know you are quit for the day. You may be surprised on how much support you get.

Hi there. I abruptly quit on Monday night. I didn't plan on it. I ran out of dip late on Sunday, thought I had a can at work, but did not. Used Snus, 3-4, at work on Monday and decided to give up this shit. I've dipped for ten years. I used it to quit smoking which I only did for three years. I've quit before, about 4-5 times for periods of up to three months. I was absolutely shocked at how hard the first couple of nights have been thus time. I have not been able to sleep. I am generally a grounded person, but the fucking anxiety is insane. My work routine is off a bit this week, which has actuay helped. I do feel better today and hope I will get some sleep tonight. I am terrified of getting back to my normal work routine tomorrow. Thanks for the stories and posts. Wish me luck tonight and tomorrow.
Better figure out how to post roll. Holler if you need help.
Once you post roll, first things first, then drink water, lots of water. While your pissing the time way, read lots of reading here in this hallowed tomes. We are here to help.
There are no circumstances in which using nicotine will improve the outcome.

My journey. The best part it is not over yet.

  • Interests: Well, there's no acceptable way to say goodbye here. You're either all in, or get out. I'm checking out. I do appreciate having a bunch of quitters to shoot the shit with, to distract each other from difficulty and share encouragement. Those of you who stay and pay it forward are better than I for doing so. I do congratulate all of you for finding the strength to quit and the toughness to stay quit. Stay strong. Stay quit.I just don't feel net positive from the time I spend here, and I don't feel like the KTC system itself has any bearing on my quit. That's not to say it doesn't work if you invest in it, but y'all have known since day one I believe I can do this myself. I've got family and friends I'm accountable to. I've been enjoying every single day of not having to feed an addiction. Even that first week, I loved being able to say no. I'm all in for improving my health and not making stupid choices.I'm going to continue to say no to nicotine for the rest of my life. You do the same. All the best. Ben.P.S. Fuck Marty Barrington.

Hey Kris

I picked up dip to quit smoking too, ten years ago. Right now I'm six days into no nicotine, and I didn't get any good sleep for the first four. Last night I did though; it does get better. It has to, right, once we stop bathing our nervous systems in poison. It's just an adjustment period. Cinnamon Trident is my best friend right now.

Come post in our Jan '15 (when we'll reach 100 days of freedom) quit group. It's helpful.

Welcome to freedom!! It's gonna suck for a bit then it will get better. And then it will get great. Just win today, and worry about tomorrow when it gets here. We go one day at a time here, it makes it much more manageable and actually let's you enjoy life and your new freedom. You are free now! Stock up on seeds and atomic fireballs. Chug as much water as you can. Get lots of sleep. Read everything you can on KTC. focus on the HOF speeches and Words of Wisdom sections.

Congratulations and welcome aboard!

krzykris,
Welcome you have come to the right place. Your previous 'quits' were just stops, this is your quit!
Get over to the welcome center and figure out how to post roll.
Post your promise to not use any nicotine and tabacco each day and repeat.
Read everything on this site, drink a lot of water and get some gum, seeds or candy.
This site works if you use it.
Proud to quit with you,
Charles
