Welcome Jalb0, myself a can plus for 30 years. I'm on day 23 and never felt better. First
week sucked but it get easier.

Posting roll means you give your word to all of us that you will be nic free for today.
If I can do it anyone can.

Hey NIC BITCH 'Finger'
Thanks NormJr. Just curious what has helped you so far, i.e. gum, seeds?
Smoking Mountain the most. Helps me with the oral fix. When I really get the craving's I just go to KTC and read.
Do seed, gum etc.... But you have to want it. You make a promise to post roll EDD. (Every Damn Day). Remember
your doing it for you and no one else.

Hi I'm John from Arizona aka Old Dog New Tricks. I am one of your Quit brothers in the September Quit Group (Sept is your month that you will achieve 100 days clean...and together we're all going to make our quit last way beyond that date too).

Welcome! The September Samurai Quit Group will be your home. You will find all the info you need on this page to post roll and join our group. topic/11155274/#new/

On that page, go to the following instruction sections and click on the blue bar to read what to do:
*INFO FOR NEW QUITTERS
*HOW TO POST ROLL
There is also a video on posting that I recommend. https://youtu.be/rBoCAiiDNyg

[NOTE: I saw that you tried to post roll today. I will fix your post today. Tomorrow you can read the above to learn how to do it correctly.]

Check out this link from an old Samurai warrior to learn how you can make this site work best for you. single/?p=9129963t=11165590

Your job is to WUPP EDD. Wake Up, Piss, Post roll, Every Damn Day. Honor your quit one day at a time. Just get thru today my friend...And then tomorrow morning, post roll again and repeat that every damn day. Posting our name and our # of days quit each day in "Roll Call" is our public commitment to each other that we will not have nicotine in our body for the next 24 hours. You can do one day at a time right? That's how all of us do it here.

And if you need to rage, you came to the right place. We are the only friends you have that WANT you to text or call us when you're raging and pissed off. LOL.

As you know, the first few days suck, but by Day 10+, things start to get a lot easier. Drink lots of water and/or cranberry juice. Exercise and sweat out the toxins. Stay away from alcohol for the next couple weeks so it doesn't weaken your resolve. It'll take 3 days for the nicotine to physically get out of your system, and then the real mental battle starts fighting the cravings your brain's nicotine receptors so badly want. You can do this. Many of us old dogs are 30+ year dippers and are now proud to be free.

Also, people here share their cell numbers, especially during the first few weeks because I promise you that you are going to want to text or call someone when you start having a craving. Really, really helps to have someone in your corner at that moment. You should get lots of numbers from other Samurai and KTC members for support.

PROUD TO QUIT WITH YOU TODAY.

P.S. I am sending you a similar message to your inbox. Click on the word INBOX in the upper right corner of top menu bar to view your inbox.
Thanks John. I thought I posted roll correctly this morning, but I guess not! I'll have to pay a little better attention to the video. Thanks for the words of encouragement. Will talk to you soon.

Jason

You can do it man.

Lots of us on here have similar stories. I love that your first post in the intros was to a brother in my April 2013 group - itsgottohappen. Today he is celebrating 900 days of freedom from that bitch Grizzly.

The first few days are not fun. But... you kind of earned that. And, this is going to sound whack, you want it to suck. You need to remember what you went through to gain freedom, and you need to remember each day... I will never have to relive this ever again.

Nicotine is a wicked beast. An addictive neurotoxin. As addictive as heroin. Dip is chock full of nicotine - 3X more in a can than a pack of cigs. But it can be beaten. And you are beating it.

Post roll, keep your word. Reach out for help if you need it - everyone here is on a common team fighting the same battle. And it is an honor to fight it with you today, sir.

Welcome aboard.

Congrats on making a great choice, Jalbo!!! Learn how and why we post roll...then do it. (don't worry about messing it up...the mods can fix anything). Just post roll, read everything you can on this site, and repeat.

Quitting is done ONE DAY AT A TIME. Don't think about anything other than making it through today nic free. We'll deal with tomorrow when it gets here.

YOU GOT THIS, BROTHER!!!
Thanks Bean. I posted this morning right away! Looking forward to keeping in touch with you.

Greetings all! Day 1 of rectifying a mistake made 20+ years ago. I'm anxious to live my life without feeling that I can't survive without the Grizzly. Looking forward to meeting everyone, and the much needed support!
