Hello,
I am 20 years old and have been dipping since I was 15. I have recently cut back but It was time to quit. I am usually very good at completing goals when I put my mind to them, but quitting dip has proved to be a very difficult task. I am currently on day 4 and the headaches are almost unbearable. I have been drinking plenty of water which has been helping. However, the headaches almost seem to be a blessing in disguise because the last thing I want during a intense migraine is a dip.
I feel as though I am probably much younger than most people on this site but I feel that It is a fantastic resource to help me make sure that I am not addicted to this shit for the rest of my life, no offense intended. College can be stressful at times, but hey so is life, so I can no longer use dip as an excuse to deal with my stress.
I went to an all boys high school where I can honestly say about 35% of the guys dip. I find this to be very high, and it was something that I was defiantly surrounded by. In college I have also been surrounded by people who dip. I feel no peer pressure to do it anymore but It is the simple fact that I am addicted, and one of my fraternity brothers or friends is sure to have a can on them. I'm on summer break now, and its time to quit. I started April 30th, 2014, and I'm not going to look back.
Welcome Osu. Glad to see another slave wanting his freedom.
You're not here by accident. You are an addict of nicotine (poison). All of us quitters are addicts of the poison...we quit One Day At A Time.
You really can "be quit"...Today. You can do anything for a day,,,,right?
use candy, water, ratshit, catshit, peanuts, gum, help you get through...but you are NOT allowed to reintroduce the POISON to your body...NONE for you today.
You can do this ODAAT.
Read up, gather your weapons to fight/control your addiction, chat hard, quit daily, exchange digits with your quit brothers, accountablity and commitment are key.
Post roll
Keep your word for today
Wake and repeat
Welcome to the best of your life.
