Don't make this a New Years resolution that your going to give up on! Make this the year that you better yourself. Get to the doctor and get those chest pains figures out. Stay quit... Post every day... And be a man of your word. You can do it... We all have! Stay strong, I quit with you! -BadAsh

Hello,

raynorris3 here. My quit date is 1/1/2016. Started dipping when I was 12 - been about 30 years. In those 30 years I've never gone longer than 30 days without, but I've also never really wanted it for myself either. I've been having some chest pains for a while, and although I didn't quit because of them, imagine my happy surprise that they have more or less gone in just the 8 days I haven't had a dip. The usual 8 days in symptoms aside, I just keep thinking about - yeah, my head is a little foggy, but my chest feels just fine.
Sometimes chest pain and tightness can be from simple anxiety. However, I'm no doctor. You should go see a doctor about that, my friend. Chest pains are nothing to ignore.

I quit w/ you this fine day. You are going to plow through the fog like no other ODAAT!

Ray,

Congrats on the best decision of your life. Great job posting. Like you, I was a slave to the nic bitch for 28 years, and never really tried to quit, until now, until finding this site. Get involved and read as much as you can. Freedom is awesome.

Proud to quit with you Ray.

30 years is gonna take a little retraining of the ol noggin!
I have learned tobacco never helped me at all for 38 years.
It was a lie from the first smell.
Learn to enjoy the suck.
Read additional books on addiction.
Work hard for your new life.
In time you will be angry is stole so much from you.
Today you are free. Smile
Well done Ray.
I Quit with you today.
