Jordan I really need you to understand this, you're an addict and a whole lot of what you said is addict bullshit! Get in here be the man your kids are gonna need for a long time, set an example to them, let them know Dad use to have a nasty ass disgusting addiction that could have already killed him but hopefully I stopped in time to be here for you. Not trying to scare you, don't really care if I piss you off I just want you to quit with me! It's awesome and you can do it,hell, I dipped 38 year's , I've done it 338 days and by golly if I can do it I know damn well you can! So don't wait any longer, post roll the support is waiting! Next moves yours Dad. I quit with you today. Never alone at ktc!
Tobacco is so addictive it took me a year after a massive heart attack, in which doctor confirmed caused from dipping to finally put a lid on the bitch! ODAAT EDD

Below is compliments of Siggy and kinda sums up this place:

An addict fell in a hole and couldn’t get out. A businessman went by. The addict called out for help, so the business threw him some money and told him to buy a ladder, but the addict could not find a ladder in this hole he was in. A doctor walked by. The addict said “help, I can’t get out”. The doctor gave him some drugs and said “take this, it will relieve the pain”. The addict said “thanks”, but when the pills ran out, he was still in the hole. A renowned psychiatrist rode by and heard the addict’s cries for help. He stopped and said “How’d you get in there? Were you born in there? Did your parents put you there? Tell me about yourself, it will alleviate your sense of loneliness.” So they talked for an hour. Then the psychiatrist had to leave, but said he’d be back next week. The addict thanked him, but was still in his hole. A priest came by and heard the addict calling for help. The priest gave him a Bible and offered up a prayer for the addict. The addict was very grateful and read the whole bible, but was still stuck in the hole. A recovering addict happened to be passing by. The addict cried out “hey, help me, I’m stuck in this hole”. Right away, the recovering addict jumped in the hole with him. The addict said “what are you doing? Now we’re both stuck here”. The recovering addict said “it’s OK, I’ve been here before, and I know the way out”.

Jordan quitting for your family is good but may I suggest a much better reason for quitting. Few of us as using addicts ever realized the hidden consequences that dipping had on us. Sure some of us hid our addiction out of embarrassment, other suffered that self loathing of our inability to control our own addiction. It doesn't matter Why we finally made the decision to quit the number one reason for every quit should be for yourself. Without the selfish desire to quit for yourself the danger of resentment and justification to dip becomes justified as the cravings take hold.

Hi Jordan, I used to use Copenhagen long cut too and I've been quit for 86 days. We have a support group here for you, the March 2016 group, but you will need to quit cold turkey to join it. I won't lie to you, quitting is not easy. There is a page on the KTC front page that you should read...

What to expect when you quit dipping

I hope that in the end you will make the decision to dump out all of your cans and quit. When you do you will find a ton of support here. The only thing that nicotine really does for anyone is to prevent the withdrawal symptoms from nicotine.

Some about my story is a lot like everyone else with all of the life things that goes on and when life gives u some much stress u just want to grab that can and try and relax and it gets to the point were I fill as if the can keeps me in check it's the one thing that helps me relax when life stress is to much but it just has to go ...so as I said this is my first time getting in this site or for any for that matter but if anyone would point me into the right direction to see about getting in a support group or whatever the best starting place for someone that wants to quit to get through the hard times ahead thank u for taking the time to read this I do want to thank everyone in advance for making this place possible were dippers like us have a place to go for help ... Really looking forward to the responses I get thank u
