Guys, I played nic-free golf for the first time in probably 11 years! Surprisingly, I didn't crave it the entire time like I thought I would. Doing well  smiling wide on the beginning of day 4!
See nicotine did nothing for you...you can still do all what you did before without her...keep up the good work...I stayed away from every trigger I had in the beginning.

Hey! I am here  dip free! I have been keeping myself extremely busy...running, mowing, etc to keep my mind off it. I was really foggy yesterday, couldn't focus on work or anything really. I have been reading a lot of different posts  trying to get familiar with how to post. Seems like there should be an easier way (I'm technology challenged). Today is day 3  I can tell my mood is slightly better today, hopin that improved quickly because I've been practically avoiding my wife so I don't bitch at her. Thankfully she understands  is very supportive. Quick an rambling update but gotta get back to work.

  • Interests: Can't stand the fact that being a ninja dipper is the only thing I hate about my life right now. Dipped for more than half of my life and that is longer than I played football for. I played college ball for 3 years and started playing when I was 8. Love living an active lifestyle. Married, 2 great little girls ( 4YO and 1YO). Loving life without the desire for a dip <<< Goal # 1 in my priority list.

Great choice man. Sadly it sounds all to close to my story. "I'll quit when I get married. I quit when I have a baby. I'll quit when I have a second baby." That was me 4 years ago after 8 years of dipping. I ended up being a ninja dipper and it killed me to lie to my family and my wife! I almost got a divorce over that little tin.
You made a great choice. Chose to quit each day, before you get out of bed. I'll quit with you man! (Just not in the same bed!)

Hey guys (and gals?), my name is Kirk and I am from central Arkansas. I started chewing Redman as a freshman in college until I was low on student loan funds one day. I had a buddy who worked for US Smokeless and said "just go grab a roll from my truck" and that was 10 years ago. I dipped pretty much continuously since that time, but now I'm ready to quit. I am recently married and my wife thinks it's disgusting and I'm tired of spending money on it honestly!  I haven't had a dip since yesterday morning at around 8 am and am trying to be nice to the people I work around, haha! I have a pretty laid back, fun-going personality so I'm trying to make this as light hearted as possible (to keep my sanity). I know this is gonna suck, as it already does, BUT, it's time and it will be done. Look forward to the feedback and getting to know ya'll.

Welcome Woopig,
Why are you wanting to quit? You have to quit for you all the other externals can be used for motivators but they are short lived. You have to quit for you, you have to want it, you have develop a hatred for tobacco/nicotine. The same chemical that has made you a slave for years. You like me are an addict you will always be an addict. My suggestion is to listen learn read read read everything you can on this site and keep it close. You will also need to post to roll if you have not already done so. Post roll give us your word repeat every damn day.
PM me if you need anything embrace the suck.
