Craving and the nic bitch will always be there, you may not think about dip for weeks and you will then go or do something and all you will think about is "one won't hurt". We are addicts, we will never be cured. Chew was a part of most of our lifes for a very long time. It will continue to be a part, it just has to be the old part and not the NOW. We are quit, for today. Stay strong and fight the battle again tomorrow. One of my best frinds quit 14 years ago after chewing 2 cans of cope fine a day for 20 years. Last year he thought what the hell I can try just one, now hes chewing 2 cans a day and has no desire to be a quitter. She never leaves. I quit with you!

I totally agree with that. I'm on day 29 and I guess I thought I was out of the woods after the first couple of weeks. For me, days 22 through 27 were awful (fake chew is a lifesaver). Yesterday and today, no problem at all. I almost feel better for having survived that than I would if I had coasted through. Like I'm earning it. And as a bonus, I haven't had to embrace or suck anything.
So, you see, the puppy was like industry, in that they were both lost in the woods. And nobody, especially the little boy - "society" - knew where to find 'em. Except that the puppy... was a DOG. But the industry, my friends, THAT was a revolution.

I think the worst part of the 20's was that I expected to be not craving so much anymore but it was still a minute by minute fight. I felt worn out. However, Day 117 today and it gets SO much better. Hang in there! You can do it! Try "embracing the suck" with the idea of what we resists persists. Divine gave me that advice around Day 20 and it really helped.

Solid advice, and divine knows a thing or two about sucking and embracing

Hey Sage. My intro post said "hey fellas", but I should change that. I quit as of midnight, January 1. To stay quit, I know I'm going to need help, and you can count on mine as well. PM me if you want to chat.

Welcome Sage - I'm on Day 2 also.
I had the same feelings when I would chew around my daughter. It hurts to be in the porcess of putting in a lipper and having her watch me curious.
If you need someone to talk to about this commitement - I'm happy to help. I know i'm going to need some support as well.
