Good job on posting roll today as you said you would. That's one promise you have kept since coming back. Next, keep the promise you made today in roll call. Come back tomorrow....do the same.

I just wanted to post that I am coming back to this site. I was in the August 2008 quit group and made it about five months before I let myself lose contact and let myself give into to temptation. I apologize to everyone on here and no I will get plenty of shit and I know it is deserved. I haven't been dipping regularly, but haven't been able to quit without this site to help focus me and keep me accountable. I just want the chance to re-earn some respect one day at a time and I am back to do that. I feel terrible to let people down including myself. I'll be posting day one in the morning.
sounds like you have learned a lesson many on here have learned the hard way.....this is an addiction.....

the thing about addiction....it never goes away. we are all just one dip away from a can a day habit. yeah, it is always disappointing to see a cave....it rocks the foundation of everyone on this site...some more than others and some that you may never even know about....

I received the following in a pm from a pre HOF quitter who will remain annonymous.....

Everybody says it gets easier, but then you see guys like qferret who had 100 days and fucked it up. I get why the cavers get crucified on the site. When somebody caves it makes me question my own quit, so you get pissed at the guys that blew it.

I pm'd ferret and received his permission to post this.....looks like you are in the same boat that he is....a caver that is coming back due to this place works. YOu could throw Edromero in there also....

I'm not typing this to put you on a guilt trip or to piss any of you off.....i am posting this to challenge your happy little asses. You all have had successful quits. Ed and Ferret are already involved in sharing thier knowledge and experience in their new groups......in addition to re-mastering thier own quits.

You now have the added responsibility of making amends to August 08, and every other quitter on here who has been affected by your failure.......

Get involved with your new group, help them with your knowledge, make them and everyone you come in contact with on this site understand that.......

IT IS MUCH EASIER TO FAIL WITHOUT THE DAILY REINFORCEMENT OF ROLL CALL

Involvement, Integrity and Accountability........
