Jeremy,

as I told jeeptruck and dicksonb2013....

Welcome to KTC. I just posted a notice in the October and September pages....you, jeeptruck, and dicksonb2013 are the FOUNDING FATHERS of the October Quit group. Need to come up with a cool title, like October Assassins or other nifty name....your group will go through a significant amount of churning, storming, norming, and forming, but will emerge with a definite personna.

Of course, you are ALWAYS welcome to post with the Sultans....we honor you and your quit and we quit with you today.
I recently read in an article about Tony Gwynn that 80% of tobacco users have precancerous lesions in their mouths. Go to the dentist to get some peace of mind and to catch anything early if there's anything to catch at all.

I will warn you that we see dozens of scared-straight quitters come in here when they're worried that they have cancer, only to go to the dentist and go back to dipping after they get a clean bill of health. 'bang head'

How long did it take y'all to go to the dentist?
I haven't been since I quit (81 days). Go if you need to go, get the stains off those teeth.
I'm not worried about the stains...worried they would find bad stuff
If your worried about cancer, I'd go today then.
How long since your last visit?
Some of my fondest and clearest memories are peeing in places that aren't bathrooms.

I haven't been to the dentist either, but I'm only on day 5. However, my dentist knew that I chewed and would actively check my mouth during my semi-annual check ups. If your dentist doesn't know already, defnitely fill them in during your next appointment so that they will be extra diligent during their check. Also, I haven't experienced anything for myself, however, I have read that it is common to develop mouth sores and such after quitting. Another reason you may want to fill your dentist in during your next visit.

Done it more times than I can count. It's unbelievable how blind we can be to this addiction before we put an end to it. I quit with you today.

Jeremy,

Buy in to what KTC stands for which is doing whatever is required so that you will quit and stay quit.

Make friends. Go to Chat.

We all whined like babies that first week...first month...but we got your back.

I am day 132...seems like just yesterday I had the balls to quit.
I threw away a full can this morning. Said "Damn You - Never Again" as it was leaving my hand!
If it's sealed in your trash, go fetch it and dump it in the toilet.
In a public dumpster. Its sad to admit that I have thrown cans away and have gone after them.
