Hello I wanted to tell everyone that responded to me yesterday thank you for your time and your consideration and your words I also have no idea what I am doing I've looked all over the website and theres a lot here and it's very interesting but I'm not sure how I post to a quit group it says to find a quit group but I don't know if I just pick? I'm also feeling very scared which surprises me a little bit but I'm afraid of failing I'm afraid of what if I can't do it what if I let myself down and everyone else what if I can't hold my tongue with my kids when it's not their fault their mom is detoxing. When I read some of you guys' post seeing you talk about just flush it down the toilet it cracks me up because it makes me remember the other day my almost 2-year-old open my brand-new can and spilled all over the floor so what I do I was on my hands and knees picking it all up trying to pick it all up. Lol I don't know if anyone else has had these same fears I know I'm going to hear a lot of suck it up after this one lol but it's the truth
We all had those fears and are facing them head on everyday!!!!!!!!!!! One day at a time is doable, I can do it and so can you and the Hubby. The question is, DO YOU WANT IT BAD ENOUGH??? When you decide to post roll and make that promise it is a sacred oath and we take it VERY SERIOUS. When you quit you need to start gathering as many #'s of contacts as possible so you have someone to contact to yell at instead of the kids.
Your story of the spilled dip isn't uncommon, I remember countless times spilling it in the dirt or on a tractor floor and scooping up dirt and all. (shit the dirt was probably better for me anyway)
No need to keep lurking around JUST QUIT!!!
You and your husband have to quit for you. Meaning, you have to quit for you, he has to quit for him. It's not for the kids, for each other, for your marriage, or for whatever. This has to be completely selfish and just for you. It won't work if you are doing for someone other than yourself. This may sound jacked up but as you progress from day to day, you will see that by doing this for yourself, you are helping those around you. Invariably in life, we let our guard down when we are surrounded by those who love us unconditionally. In quitting nicotine, we cannot let our guard down or get comfortable. When you guys are ready to give it a run, hop on over to Oct 12 and post roll. We'll be waiting for you.
I'll quit with you today, if you want it bad enough, you'll quit with you today as well.
