OK, up until today I've been away from home. I'm traveling back to Oregon today and know I'm going to face some of my most deep seeded triggers. My goal is really to not define myself by my bad habits and my addiction but rather my strong will.
Good plan brother now instead of using hope use some determination and resolve!

I like the focused thinking, you will need that alot durring those tough times so use your strong will and some good ol'fashioned balls to state your word and keep it!

Hit me up if you need any help!

Yup, I had the same feeling when I woke up. Glad I didn't betray myself. My new worry is chewing the inside of my lip. I was in a fender bender this morning and in the run of things found I had been chewing my lip and it was bleeding. Mints are helping.

I am currently on day 89 of my quit and have had two 'dip dreams'. They were as real a shit and I can't tell you how relieved I was to wake up and realize it was just a dream. As a testament to this site, the worst part in was the momentaty thought that i had broken my pledge. The formula for quitting is right here. Proud to be quit with you TODAY.

Dip dreams are very common! As for nicorete why the hell would you keep putting the same poison in your body in a different form if your quitting!! This is a cold turkey quitting site no form of nicotine is accepted!!! If your going to quit, QUIT!! If your serious about quitting your days start when you stop poisoning yourself. If that is now post roll in December and pm me ill share my story and offer help.

Hey brutha, I'm very new to the site, so trying to figure out how to reply/post/roll call/etc. I made my first post in the December's quit group just a few minutes ago. I've been dip-free for a bit over 3 days now.

I've read that folks have dip dreams. Personally, I've not had any chew dreams myself. On night 2 I dreamed of being terribly thirsty. I also didn't sleep worth a shit and actually had feelings of my skin crawling a bit. Again, I think normal stuff, but sucks none the less.

I've tried all the nicotine gum/patches in the past...they never did a damn thing for me..i believe that we (dippers) have to get to a point of TOTAL determination -- that is, a point in our life that we say, "no more." Again, I'm not an expert and a newby quitter myself, but just words I've read. I've dipped since I was 17 (now 36). I quit for 4 years when I was 22 years old. Can you fucking believe I quit for 4 years?!

Hang tough, bud! I know that I've reached the final end to my dipping. It's kicking my ass, but it's time... holla

Hey all, I've been using snuff regularly since the 4th grade, about 30 years. I bought my last can of Copenhagen and nicorette lozenges last week and I took my last chew on the 22nd of August. Curious if anyone has had luck with Nicorette. Also, after 4 days I started noticing myself "cheating" in my dreams. Weird because I've never even dreamed of Copenhagen before. But the last 2 nights I find myself opening a can in my dream and thinking "man I have to start all over". Anyone else have this happen?
