Getting very close to a week with no nicotine, and I feel pretty damn good about that fact. Every once in a while, like maybe 3 to 4 times a minute, I think about dip. The Bacc-off has been a great ally, so have seeds when driving. As I sit here tonight I feel some anxiety about going back to work next week. I have never been on duty without nicotine, 14+ years of being a cop and dip was always my crutch to ward off the large quanitites of shit we are force-fed every day. But I have my fake shit, a lot of water, and Bas Rutten at the end of the day for any pent up stress I don"t want to take home. For those that have never tried the Bas Rutten workouts, it is a great way to eliminate "the rage". It is a heavy bag workout where he calls out punch combos and you bang away (or punch and kick/knee if doing the Thai boxing workout. Granted that it is a workout and not intended to make you a better fighter. It might help your power a bit, but the real juice to this is bashing out all that anger the nic-bitch gives ya. I am sure I will be venting in the pre-October 2011 group about my glorious return to work!!!

It is not a problem, it is an oppertunity to succeed in a manner you had not previously understood.
Karma,

Glad to be quit with you brother. I've tried a lot of Muay Thai workouts and martial arts workouts in the past. I know of Bas Rutten Workouts, but where do I find them. Also, I'll give you another ass kicker of a workout. This guy has a lot of great boxing/fighting workouts that can improve speed, power, or just endurance.

OK, all my new KTC friends, I'm in. I have had no nocitine today, I amgoing to used Bacc-off to help with the oral fixation, well see how that goes. I am watching my kids right now so I can only post from my cell phone, damn I hate typing on this thing. So I am going to go join my October group and I am sure will post a bunch more when I am at a real keyboard. Oh, and sorry in advance if I screw-up roll call at first, I will try to get it done from my phone, but it might not work all that well.
You did fine on roll. Now do it again every day for the rest of your life and you have this thing licked. Glad to quit with you today!

Welcome,

Don't worry about screwing up roll. Make your way on over to Oct 11 post your word and keep it. That is the only thing of importance at this point.

Quit can be done. We are all living proof. One day at a time, you can do it too.
Quit: 3/23/10
