I QUIT TODAY AT 3:30 P.M. AND THIS HAS BEEN A VERY DIFFICULT DAY. I HAVE ALREADY RECEIVED SUPPORT, AND GREAT ADVISE FROM TWO GREAT PEOPLE WHO IMMEDATLY ANSWERED MY CALL FOR HELP, WHICH I AM VERY THANK FOR. I HAVE BEEN CHEWING SINCE I WAS 9 YEARS OLD I AM NOW 24 AND HAVE TRIED TO QUIT MULTIPLE TIMES THROUGH THE YEARS, BUT I WAS NEVER TRULY READY, I ALWAYS TRIED TO QUIT BECAUSE OTHER PEOPLE WANTED ME TO. THIS TIME I MYSELF WANT TO QUIT. I AM TIRED OF PUTTING THIS SHIT IN MY MOUTH. AND ONE OF THE BIGGEST REASONS IS I JUST HAD MY FIRST DAUGHTER SHE IS NOW 8 MONTHS OLD. I DO NOT WANT TO ONE DAY HAVE TO ANSWER THE QUESTION DADDY WHATS THAT IN YOUR MOUTH, I JUST WANT TO PUT A STOP TO IT NOW.
Welcome bdog. You don't have to "want" to quit anymore. Here we just do it. Each day we make a promise to ourselves and our quit brothers. Get involved, make some friends. Let others help hold you accountable. It may feel a little weird at first, but nic addicts at the same stage are experiencing almost exactly what you are. Lean on them, let them lean on you. This method works, but you have to jump in and commit to your quit.
Fish, eat, sleep. Repeat.

Awesome Bdog. You are right on track. Got your Introduction made so now the whole KTC community will be hooking up with you and giving support. Glad to see you got posted to roll by Jayduba. That's a rock solid quitter right there. Now like all the others recommended, read all that you can here. Go to pages for new quitters. It's all knowledge and todos to help you with your quit. Remember. We all start right where you are right now. On day one. And brother, day one is the biggest step. Congratulations. You've made that step. That step you made alone. But from here out on KTC, you are not alone. We quit together. And I'm proud to be quit with you.

Hey when you look at your January 2014 HOF quit group page, it might look a little confusing. You may possibly have to scroll down a bit to find roll call. There is some extra discussion going on on your roll call page concerning some folks that caved their quit and are back again. Please don't let that distract or discourage you. You can actually turn that into fuel for your quit. Let it be a sign to you that what we are all dealing with here is in fact not a habit, but it is truly an addiction. That's why those guys have failed. But I personally amn thankful they are back trying to get free. What we have all done is chosen to poison ourselves with a powerfully addictive chemical. Together, we are taking our lives back.

Glad to see you get your intro posted. Text your contacts when you crave and BEFORE you buy a can or put cat turds in your lips. Mike AB offered you his number. PM him and get it!! Weekends can be tough. We know it is hard and tuff. It was just as bad for every one of us. It gets better. I say that having recently been where you are. It will get easier after that. Just post roll every day, keep your word not to use nicotine in any form, read this site like your life depends on it, then repeat. So much good information to help prepare you to win this war one day at a time (ODAAT).

You have some contact numbers. Use them! Use them liberally and frequently. If you need me to post you to roll tomorrow, just let me know! Oh, welcome and congrats on a great decision!

PS: I quit with you today.

I've been right where you are right now B and I applaud your efforts to get quit right here and now.

This shit won't be easy, but it sounds like your head is right and you've got some balls behind what you're saying. The two biggest tasks for you the next few days are:

1.) Post roll call - Click on the pink "welcome center" button in the top left and it'll tell you what you need to know to get this done.

2.) Read everything you can possibly click on in this forum and on the main site. Then go back and read it again. Especially pay attention to the Kern article and take a look at the cancer pictures as well. --- don't ever put your daughter through that.

Also, hook up with guys in your group (Jan 2014 HOF). I know for a fact dunlapsig and Sportster4ever will get you through some tough times. Those guys are bad asses and will be there for you when shit hits the fan.

Own your damn quit! YOU are the only reason your addiction got to where it did and it is now up to YOU to make sure that you pull yourself out of it. Nobody can do it for you, but there are thousands of guys on this site that will do anything they can to help you. That's the beautiful part of this system. Drink this Kool-Aid bro and you'll be in the HOF with your boys in Jan 2014 in no time.

If you need a number or wanna chat/text, send me a PM and I'll shoot you my number so you can get a hold of me. I mean it.

Today I choose to quit because today is the only day I have control over today. Tomorrow is a new day and when tomorrow is today, I'll control it too, but not until then. I will win this fight with today...

Welcome BDog  congrats on your decision to quit! Now you're making the most important decision to do it for yourself, that'll get this done. I'm sure the veterans will be around before long with much better advice than I can offer, but to start off, read around the site, the welcome center,  find out all the info you can. Then go post roll, you'll be in the January 14 Group, the month when you hit 100 days of freedom (I'm in Nov 13). Your roll post is your promise not to use nic in any form through the day. Real important to get through the day clean  don't worry about tomorrow, it'll take care of itself. Just worry about today. The first 72hrs are toughest where your body gets rid of nic, so by my clock you're already 5hrs into it! Congrats! There are guys that would never even think that long would be possible before finding this site. Glad you've found a couple good guys for support already, PM me if you want more numbers  support.
