Day 50: has been almost 3 weeks since last update. The craves were tough from day 30 to 40 but have eased up some over last week or so. Have continued using the Smokey Mountain but switched to the pouches. I'm trying to ween myself off the pouches and I'm down to 4-5 a day now. It's mostly about keeping a can in my pocket now as I find myself reaching for it quite often. The dreaded "nic dreams" have started happening lately also. Good job. You're recognizing the craves and dealing with them. Way to tackle this shit head on. Keep up the fight and they will get fewer and farther between, then you'll just smile at the craves.

Day 33: The craves have been especially rough last few days... I thought this was going to get easier as time passed, but alas that isn't the case right now. If I sound like I'm whining, it's because I am!!! LOL..... The only people that truly understand the private hell that is QUITTING are the members here at KTC. I'm very fortunate to have found this group and often wonder if I would have been as successful with my quit completely on my own.....

Just read this thread...nice journal you have going. Congrats on achieving one month of quit; that's a huge accomplishment in and of itself and should not go without accolades. Keep doing what your doing...and that is finding ways to keep the nicotine out of your mouth at all costs. Breaking a fake dip habit (yes, that is a habit) and shedding any gained pounds is much easier than trying to beat cancer. Great job.

Try to remember every second of this unadulterated hell. Burn it into your brain, try to enjoy it, it's your body healing. It will be good to look back on in the future as a reminder of what you never want to go thru again (a day 1). You will also be proud of yourself for the perseverance and staying the course through the tribulation. Hang in there brother it gets better.
I would rather lose to a cheater than win as a cheater.

The poison sucks. I hate it. I hated it this morning, I hated it at noon, I hated it at supper and I hate it tonight. I enjoy hating it so much I'm going to wake up tomorrow and start over hating it. I quit with anyone that wants to hate it with me.

Morning of day 6..... Slept a little better, but for the first time in 35 years I didn't crave a dip of snuff as soon as I woke up!!!!! I have got the nic bitch beaten!

This is day 5 of my QFL! Can't sleep tonight so wanted to post roll early and get out for a morning jog. It seems I have a lot more energy to burn so I've been hitting the jogging trail harder than normal to help with craves/fixation.

Also, in last 24 hours or so I can't drink anything with artificial sweeteners anymore. They taste like crap.

Proud to be quitting with everyone here today!!!!

Good job,, if worrying about fake is keeping the poison out so be it. Keep the real out, that's your goal. I used the fake until the 40's and had no problem tossing it. Keep adding them +1's and everything will look different in a few. Quit with you today.
