Welcome to KTC, John! You have been afforded an opportunity to make a name for yourself and meet new people that will help you save your own life, literally. Post roll every day and read, read, read. When you're not reading you should be posting roll or listening. When you're bored, get on chat and open up.

And FYI, this is not a habit. It's a full blown addiction. Know the difference. Fortunately, we're all addicts on this site and we've all gone through a Day 1 just like you.. so don't be shy!

Embrace the suck. It's worth it. I'm just a little over a month quit and I feel astronomically better than I ever imagined I would. PM me if you need a contact to strengthen your accountability.

For things like this, if you tell your colleagues and friends, they will not listen. But they are watching. Work on a successful quit. After a year or so, they will ask you about it. That's when they will be ready to hear about KTC.

Both my brother in-laws dip. After 300 days I am just sad for them. Worry about you, and soon enough you'll take pity on your co-workers. You have chosen to take back your life - OWN IT!

My advice, worry about you. Your co-worker should be the least of your concerns. You're almost 2 weeks into your quit and you need to start building your defense system; and now that you're here, we can show you how to do that.

Post roll. Make your promise to us and yourself that you will not use nicotine in any form for that day. Post roll and make that promise every day. Read up on the site, jump on the chat, read intro's, post responses...GET INVOLVED. This will help you to build your accountability. In essence, you get out what you put into it.

Congrats on deciding to quit, huge accomplishment, and moreover, a bigger accomplishment to get through those first few days. Never look back and protect that quit. ...and worry about who's #1.
