I've "quit" so many f**king times. I'm on day 4 and this website is cool.
Two things I've noticed in the last couple of days:
1. My mouth already feels better.
2. I'm not in as big a hurry all the time. When I was dipping I was always in a huge rush to get back to my office or to my car or whatever. To finish whatever thing was keeping me from dip. My job, meetings, time with kids, didn't matter... I rarely dipped in front of people because I think it looks gross and didn't want to be judged. So I'd hole up in my office at work or home resenting everyone for judging me. What a baby. It's nice to be present in whatever I'm doing.
Biggest challenge for me: I'm a writer and I've ALWAYS written with a dip in my mouth. But I'm sure it's not unique to writers. I'd be interested in hearing from everybody about how they learned to work without dip.
Thanks for this website. I want this time to be different.

You will learn to write, work, shit, drive, watch tv, play softball, hunt, fish, fuck, whatever else, WITHOUT dip. There is really no secret formula. It will be hard, there will be constant triggers and reminders. You will find that the most innocuous tasks will remind you of dip. As time goes on it will get easier.
some people get by with using gum, seeds, fake dip, etc. you may find you need something. you may not. I didn't, lots of people do.
Read up everything on here, get to know people and they will share their advice, experiences, etc.
You can do this!
