Still here and dip free! I try to stay busy to keep my mind off of it. So will be posting later on in the day. Well I have gained seven pounds since Sunday but I am really lean so it won't hurt to gain a few pounds. Who would have thought you found gain that much on the paleo diet. A little more about me- ( need to vent till I get sleepy sorry guys). I am a teacher. I teach special needs kids k-5. It can be a very demanding and stressful job at the same time it is more rewarding than most can even conceive. I have two beautiful daughters and a little boy on the way. My dad was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer stage 4 about six months ago. He has never dipped or drank. Man you talking about something that will humble you! I cried like a freaking baby for weeks and started slacking off on the dipping then. I almost quit then. the stress was too much/I was too weak! To completely stop. I pray for him constantly but I always have in the back of my mind God is not listening to a constant sinner so I will quit dip if it gives my dad a better chance. He goes for a pet scan next week to see what the chemotherapy is doing. They initially gave him less than a year so we will see. Well thanks for letting me vent a little I will be back on tomorrow to give some words of encouragement out. I appreciate the pm's thanks guys, stay strong.

Hasn't been on since yesterday, probably still quit, just not into KTC.

Great work on your quit! Post roll, read and get active on the site. There are many triggers out there be ready to beat them down, gum, candy, seeds, or fake stuff.

I love golf, but do not play nearly enough. Country music, my wife, front porch, and a cold beer is all it takes to make me happy.

Best decision you could have possibly made my friend. It will suck, but it will get better. Drink water, drink more water, then drink a little more. Exercise will be important, because you will be eating more than you did before. Gum, fake dip, sunflower seeds, anything to keep the crap out of your mouth. Will PM you my number. Never hesitate to holler at me. Quit with you today.

Well I have been dipping since I was 21. I am now 31. Ten years of being a slave to dip. I can't believe it's been ten years. I have tried to slack off, tried chewing on cigars, and of course quitting. I have always felt guilty for dipping ( raised in a very religious family) so Sunday night I made my mind up I can't keep doing this to my body. It's not fair to me or my family. It has been the hardest couple of days of my life! I've been dizzy (day 2 and 3) today hasn't been as bad but I got some smokey mnt winter green. Oh yea I've been dipping grizzly mint and skoal mint extra 3/4 of a can a day through out those ten years. Back to point my jaw feel weird maybe from the gum and I've had a headache that might be from the weather change? This is a great site and there is no doubt I will need some help with the up coming week end! Fishing will be the hardest time for me to do without. My plan of action is to chew gum until i cant take it anymore then i will get a dip of smokey mt. I am trying to limit my intake of that as well i would like to keep it to half a can a day or less. I will beat this!!!! Thanks for listening
Welcome Free. Don't be ashamed of what you are doing or using to help stay quit. There is a large debate over whether to use the fake or not. But if it works for you, and your quit, awesome! I am at 65 days and today was the first day I haven't used some smokey. I did kill a 2 lb bag of wintergreen lifesavers.

Make sure u post roll every damn day, piss, post roll, then scratch... K?
After that protect the quit by any means necessary, reach out get digits, read post, text do what you need to do, but ultimally be acountable, by posting roll and keeping your quit brethren quit.
There are no circumstances in which using nicotine will improve the outcome.

My journey. The best part it is not over yet.
