Rusty,

I hope to see you on roll later today. We make a daily promise here to not use nicotine. The accountability of being held to your word that you won't use nicotine is what has kept me quit for 313 days. Jump in with both feet and get connected to people in the April 2015 group. There are some solid quitters in there already who are going through the same struggles of quitting that you are. Feel free to reach out if there's anything I can do.

Hi Rusty210 - welcome aboard to the beginning of a new life. I am on day 7 quit and I feel really good. You have to work at it though. I have gotten a lot of inspiration from reading stories on here about all the shit that nicotine has taken from peoples lives, we all share one common thing -- we are all addicts. Just accept that, be strong, talk to people on here, get phone numbers, ask questions, vent. I am only 7 days quit and I hate thinking about putting that shit in my mouth, it makes me sick. Sure I have cravings but I just deal with it and move on. I can't believe I didn't quit years ago! Kick the nic forever, do it now and get your life back. PM me or get in touch if want to talk.
Permanent reminder of a temporary feeling...

Put as much time in your quit as you did feeding that disgusting addiction and you'll taste the sweetness of freedom from that poisonous ratshit.

Read, read and read everything you can on this site. Get a crave, get on the site and read- before you know it the crave will pass.

Post roll early and every damn day, then honor your word for the day. Then wake up, piss and post roll.

You can find a lot of support on this site but only you can make the decision to quit and stay quit.
Drink lots of water too. Working out or going for a run helps with the cravings as well.

You've got lots of great advice here.

Hey KTC community.

Began my dipping while playing hockey in high school. Have been using for 10 years, a habit that I want to stop. Took a puck to the face in a hockey game resulting in 3 teeth being knocked out. With all the dental work happening after it was easy to put the can down. Fast foward a year later, with all the dentist and oral surgeon bills paid off, I allowed myself to bumm a pouch from a friend before a game. As i'm sure many of you know, that one taste of it sent me into a spiral to my old habits of a tin per day.

Well I guess some say "the second time is the charm...."
Howdy Rusty, glad you're here.

First things first, we gotta fix your vocabulary. Dipping isn't a habit, it's a addiction. You, me, everyone on this site, we're all addicts. It doesn't matter whether you dip, smoke, or shove it up your ass; nicotine is our addiction here.

Secondly, you've already found out that "just one" can lead to a can a day super quick. You need to remember that. The nic bitch will temp you all the time with just one, KTC will give you the tools to tell the nic bitch to fuck off, but you have to use them.

I see you're trying to post roll right now, great job. That is your promise to yourself, your quit group, and the rest of KTC that you will remain quit for 24 hours. Get to know the guys/gals in your group, they will be what keeps you quit when your craving like a mofo.

This is your first quit. Last time you stopped, this time you will quit.

PM me if you need a number or any help

Listen to MCO, throw out all your stash, no emergency stash anywhere. Throw out the spit cups, bottles, cans, dirty socks, etc. Make the decision that you are quit. Post roll each and every day and make your promise to all of us that you are quit. Last but not least, make sure you understand that this is an addiction and not a bad habit. We are all addicts here, just not users. Welcome
