If you felt liberated 300 days ago, you should feel ecstatic now! 300 days Quit! That's huge Greg! The 1st time I tried to quit I was about your age and I struggled with it for the next 25 years. Congrats on kicking this thing in the ass at age 25/26. You'll be glad you didn't let this rule your life for the next 25 years. Proud to quit with you every day brother!
Just one and you will be back where you started.
And where you started was desperately wishing
you were where you are right now.

Ya lets go Pens! Thank you all for the assistance thus far and it's good to read about posting early in the day! I will definitely be sure to do so! Thank you all for the advice thus far!
As this is your day one there is going to be some withdrawal. Drink plenty of water and get some exercise. You will have craves so find anything other than dip to satisfy them - seeds, jerky, jolly ranchers, mints, fake dip - do whatever you need to do to stay quit for the 24 hours until you post roll again.

Get digits from some folks in your quit group. If a text or phone call will help keep you quit do it! You will probably help the person that you text or call too!

We are all addicts here. We understand better than others in your life unless they are also nicotine addicts.

You can do this. If I can do it you can do it, and I was addicted for 35 years before I stumbled into this site. Today I have quit for 229 days. I quit with you today!
Thank you for the advice, I am probably going to buy some seeds today to help replace the cravings. I am really surprised at how much additional water I have even needing to drink since throwing the can away. Thanks again for the advice!

Sounds like you understand the mechanics of the quit groups. Your quit group is July.

When you post your name in roll, you are making a promise, a solemn pledge, to not use nicotine in any form for the rest of the day. You are making that pledge to every member of your group, every one who posts support, and all KTC members. We will hold you to your promise.

We post roll every single day - weekends, holidays, when you are on vacation. We make that promise very early in the day - before you leave your home. That way we give ourselves no chance to buy a can. We've made our promise not to, before we left home, every day.

Hello All,

My name is Greg. I am 25 years old. I started smoking when I was 16, and smoked a pack a day until I was 21. At that time I made the switch to chewing tobacco. I am from Western Pa, and chewed while golfing, fishing, driving, and at work. I am tired of seeing my gum line recede, hiding it from my wife, and feeling chained down by my addiction. I am done. It feels liberating to say, and I am really enthusiastic that a group like this exists.

If possible can someone verify that I have an understanding about the quit groups. So I join, quote the last post, and at the end write in my name, quit date, and my promise?

Thanks in advance for your reply and I look forward to getting to know you all better!
that is how it is done.....post as early as you can every day and read as much as possible throughout the site......GO PENS.....i live in the south hills of Pittsburgh
