Dude caved after 2 years? I and funky and confused today.

UPDATE, I found it, nevermind. This one just makes me sad. That kind of week I guess.
If I remember correctly, he stopped posting roll not long after reaching the HOF. My guess, is the lack of accountability did him in. This is why it's a smart idea to keep posting roll just like everyone did for the first 100 days.

But what do I know? I've just been doing it for 829 days or so and have still managed to not put that stuff back in my maw. Posting roll is not a meaningless waste of time. If you think otherwise, just look at the cavers.

dmontana, please feel free to post with us in July '12. Do it every day.
I was confused as well, and just went through the post history.

Dude hit HOF and walked away. Had up to 2 numbers stored in his phone (that he may have kept in contact with), but lost those when it fell in the lake. Caved around 2 years with a 1 year coin in his pocket. He came back, talked some shit, and posted roll for a few days saying his plan before "worked".

Sigh.

I wasted words towards him too. I hope he grows up and mans up. I know he can do this.
I actually don't know if he can do this. But I can. I post EDD. No breaks. No sabbaticals.

Answer, officially, here, the three questions. Give better answers than the brief jabs you are spewing out in Sept. 14.

1) What happened?
2) How did it happen?
3) What are you going to do differently this time?

Misery loves company brothers. I would suggesting exchanging phone numbers with each other. I never would have posted day 300 today if it weren't for my quit brothers having my back early in my quit. I was so afraid of letting them down, I texted all the time to somebody.

Both of you can do this.

Quitting sucks at first.

What you are experiencing is the physical withdrawals of letting the poison disappear from your bloodstream. This causes discomfort and fogginess, but it lasts only a short time (5-7 days).

After that, your brain will begin to rewire itself to survive without nicotine.

Quitting is a process.

You can do this man.

Okay Dan. I'll give you a crash course on the do's and don'ts around this place. There is no better spot on the interweb-thing to get this done. We quit and that's it.

1. Hit the warm, inviting, salmon colored link in the upper left called "Welcome Center". This will give you a quick set of what/how/where things go on here.

2. Up there you'll find a little called Roll Call. We consider this out pledge each day to quit for 24 hours. That's it. We quit one day at a time. Any longer than that I start talking to the walls and they often tell me dirty things that the nic bitch wants. We post roll every day. Don't fuck with the program. No excuses. No "I couldn't get to" or "my grandma was ill" kind of bullshit.

How to post roll: Posting roll for smart folks

How to post roll: Video format for us slow folks.

Where you ask? Here:
July 2012

You're in the July '12 group. Good folks in there. Strong quitters.

3. Get to know folks here. This is simple but ain't easy. Folks here will help you through the shit. Folks here will be looking to YOU to help them through the shit. Get involved. Surrounding yourself with success and a framework of support will only make your quit safer. And that's our goal: to protect your quit. You'll have folks here willing to fight with you 24 hours a day. You tell me where you can find support like that?

4. Read. Read every damn thing on this site. Its a "how-to" guide on getting quit and staying quit. Lots on knowledge. Lots of wisdom. Lots of dumb shit too just to keep you occupied during tough times.

5. Numbers. Get some numbers of folks going through the same shit you are going through. They got your back and you'll have theirs.

6. Get some support on the outside in the real world. Only solidifies what you're doing here.

7. Reach out. Anyone here will help if they can. But no one can help until you ask. All we want is to stay quit. Helping folks helps a quitter on the path.

My name is Soul. I love quitting. I hate UST.

Welcome aboard.

this is a no nicotine site, period, end of story.

CBird, Thank you. I assume that means also no lozenges (nicotine)....Okay....I'll dump those as well.
