You are in the November 2013 Group( your group)

Try these instructions for: PC How to post roll-----

Hit quote located on the right side of the page
click in lower box and hit Control A then Control X -- this highlights all the text in the lower box and cuts it
click in upper box and hit Control V -- pastes in upper box
There are two groups that post on this page -your group is in the upper tier and the supporters - me and others post below you
post your name day quit and blurb
now scroll down a little and hit add reply

(pm me if you're not on a pc)
Post Roll every day or communicate with someone and have them post via text, email or call. Get as many number of your group as you can and use them frequently. Keep in touch with your quit brothers. Send them a PM, text or call every few days just to keep an open line of communication. Give them your email address. Make it IMPOSSIBLE for you to go a day without several people contacting you all day if you don't post roll.

Hello all,

I've lurked a bit, but I'm now in the process of quitting, and by that I mean it's been 1 hour since I've started this process.

I decided to not go fishing for a few days (GASP) because I power chew then.

I am quitting for myself,
I am quitting for the "Dad, stop dipping!"

I am quitting because after being injured in Iraq a few years ago I am finding my health is just plain crappy and Chewing just probably adds to it.

I Know I will succeed, but boy this will be a hard one!

Any advice would be a great help!
fellow oif/oef vet and still active duty right here with you. i'm day 2 today. get over in the november quit group and post roll. we'll kill this fucker together.

DAY 2.

WOW, Today is a haze of just craziness. I have been eating a million things then I passed out for a few hours only to wake up like someone kicked my ass and put fog everywhere. My family wants to go out and do something, but I feel and look like utter hell. I am dizzier than I've been in awhile, I am sipping a coffee and trying so damn hard to NOT drive to the gas station for that fat lipper that keeps calling me,
FML.... Gotta stay strong. I did eat an apple today while I drove to my sisters house to keep me from putting in a fat one.

I feel so weird idk...
Is this ROLL? I don't know I'm fuzzier than a kiwi right now! But I will stay strong.

It's great to document your quit but why aren't you posting roll call in Nov 13?

Great decision to quit! If you've been lurking then you know the drill. Post Roll to start your day and promise not to use for 24 hours, keep your word. Repeat tomorrow. Not easy but simple. Read everything on KTC and get involved: read and post on intro threads, hit live chat, get phone #s from your quit group and anyone else you need (we will all give you our # if you PM us). Own your quit and you can do this!

Welcome! Great choice to be a quitter! Quitting isn't easy, but it is simple.
First, do what Coach Steve said and read everything in the Welcome Center. Especially important is why and how we post roll. Secondly, meet some brothers here, exchange phone numbers. Hold each other accountable to staying quit. It is that simple. But the not easy part is the craves, the rages, the fog, the fuck its, the mind games that an addiction entails. You will get through them, you will be quit if you want it enough.
Fish, eat, sleep. Repeat.

First I am glad you are here you have made the right choice. There are a lot of vets here both military and the war on nicotine vets. We will help you while you help yourself QUIT this deadly bitch.

You have already made the connection that it makes no sense to dip and that it has a negative impact on your life and health. It appears that you have also made the connection that it also makes not sense to continue dipping after making it back alive.

I will not lie to you this is going to suck ass this will probably be one of the most difficult missions you have ever been on. My advice to you that was passed on to me is to embrace the suck and never ever forget how bad it was. Embrace the suck because it is the poison leaving your system.

You should go to the welcome center learn how to post roll. Posting roll is the single most important thing we do here that gives us your word that you will not use for the day. We quit one day at a time here. Read read read listen and learn, read HOF speeches by reading them you will realize you are no different than any of us here you like me are an addict.

If you need anything my digits are in your inbox text me what have you they are there for you I suggest you use them.
T
Complacency sucks, one moment of it is the difference between being a user and a quitter....OIB

"Lean into the fall my friends, life can be amazing without nicotine. It's just a matter of choice." sM

"Endeavor to persevere."Chief Dan George "The Outlaw Josey Wales".
