Day 4.  Had the biggest test last night - Wednesday is hanging with the guys.  Drinking, no dip, some sunflower seeds - no problem.  I think my firm decision to quit is stronger than this.  I'm pretty happy!
Thats what I like to hear!! It is good to take on things that are part of your normal day to day but heed our advice. Drinking will fuck up a solid quit faster than anything! I drank on day 2 and day 10 and they were the biggest mistakes I made. Next day was like I was back in the suck!! I didnt feel safe having a few beers till after day 25. Especially if is with a group of your boys that all chew etc etc......Drinky with caution!!

I quit with you bro!!

J
Hahahaha thanks guys, but giving up drinking at the same time as giving up Kodiak? Not happening. It's OK though - not a problem. I have never felt this strongly - the idea of slipping back into an old habit with such horrible consequences makes me ill. It is like I have been hypnotized somehow... seriously!

I have made my decision and it's great. Day 5.

well done as you have a victory but be careful with the drinking as it lowers the inhibitions and has ruined quite a few quits.

I'm 39 years old.....8 year old boy and 5 year old girl....and I'm one nicotine addicted degenerate. I chewed a can a day for 23 years. However I am now 74 days QUIT.

I would have never made it 74 days without this group. Guys like Diesel2112 helped me. I like the in your face...shut the fuck up and QUIT shit. There is none of this "I hope I can Quit...I'm going to try" here. Cold turkey....Old School QUIT!

You can do it. Trust me...If I can quit. YOU can too. Just don't put any nicotine in your body for the day. Post roll the next day and do it all over again.

You will feel great about yourself I promise. Do it NOW!

38, married, one son.  1-2 tins of Kodiak a week since 1993.  I quit today for real; want to make sure I am around for my family.  I love dip but I love them more.  Working through the triggers will be hard.
You love dip...did you fucking bump your head???

Do you make sweet love to your can of kodiak? Do you tuck it in at night and read it a bedtime story? Do you let it tongue jack your sack? Are you gonna buy it some candy and flowers Thursday for Valentines day?

Seriously, tell me what you love about it. Im curious to know. And if you love it so much why are you quitting? Because it can kill you and take you away from your family, who you love more? Why the fuck would you love something that could do that in the first place??!!

You don't love that shit bro. You're fucking addicted to it. Big difference. How do I know this? Because I used to go through 1-2 cans of kodiak, A DAY. I THOUGHT I loved it too when I quit. Bullshit. I fucking HATE IT and always did.

Gotta change your attitude bro. You believe you're giving up something pleasurable, or something you "love", you're in for a hell of a time. You're not giving up a God Damn thing. Nic solves nothing. It fills no voids, it creates them.

Stick with the program on this site. We will help you realize you don't love it and never did. If you're a man with some balls, in 100 days you will tell me I was right. If you're a pussy, we'll never hear from you again.

Bro, I'm 32 married with one son as well. Dipping since 1996. I love my wife and my son and I missed enough time with them just to sneak around and dip. 98 days quit today and my life with my family is the most fullfilling it has ever been for all of us. Quitting dip is awesome! You will love the quality time you gain with your family without worrying about your next fix. Stay strong Bro.

There are KTC rants that I love and there are those that I love but really freaking hit close to home. There are times (almost daily) that I remember the "love" I had for dip, and then somebody like Diesel or Loot or Fuel or Evil or WT or some brilliant vet (they all are) reminds me how much I hated the first time each day that I thought, "Hell, yeah, I'm going to love my life even more once I have a cancerous tobacco wad in my lip." I am as addicted as an addict can be, Adam, and I'm going to hit 30 days in a couple more roll calls. Don't think of it as hard, think of it as doable. I never thought it was, and I'm doing it. Carolina is playing Duke in a couple of nights and I'm going to watch the entire game without a dip. I will WANT to sit on my couch and pop one in, but I WON'T. What in the hell am I accomplishing with a dip anyway? GO HEELS!!!

It's going to get worse than hard but you can do it - we're here to help. You need to get over your "love" of dip - you're addicted you don't love it, you just think you do - once you hit the hof look back on this post and tell me what you think then!
I agree it does get worse before it gets better. You don't "love" dip, the nic bitch "loves" you. She wants you to think what she wants you to think. Post roll everyday, Quit today and come back tomorrow and do the same, one day at a time. I'm glad you are here and proud to be quit with you today. PM me if you need anything, my numbers yours if you want it.

Well, I'll put this nicely: There is no such thing as quit for real. There is only quit. What ou may have done before is pause dipping for a while.

Also, until you rethink that "love to dip" thing, I'm not so confident you're not just taking a little break from dipping. Why would you want to quit something you love?

Read everything you can on this site, starting with the welcome center. Post questions, call me out for my comments, whatever.. just put some thought into what you really mean when you say you "love dip". No way a quit is gonna stick until you have a different answer to that question.
*Quit today. Full stop. No qualifiers. Tomorrow?... IDK, IDC.
