Xpeach. Congrats brother.
I'm also 28, dipped on and off for 3-4 years. And as a ninja dipper, it was pouches at that.
I also considered it an associative habit- video games, long drives, after workouts. Faking a ride to the gas station to fill up the car so my wife wouldn't find out. It was a ritual. But it was also a chemical addiction, which is something I learned by virtue of posting on this site.
I remember one day going on a rant about chemtrails with three pouches in my mouth. At some point I realized, Wow, here I am talking about a conspiracy to chemically alter the American population- meanwhile I'm sitting here actively engaged in a process that could someday cost me a part of my face and/or life. That moment of clarity was all I needed.
I'm all about personal responsibility, individual freedom, and even the legality of dip. But personal responsibility is admitting we've made a huge mistake by allowing our better senses to fall by the wayside and become addicted. And we are equally free to say Fuck You big tobacco.
