Yeah boy. You've got man. We've got your back. Post roll like king said. Get a few numbers. It sounds crazy but trust me. You need accountability and support. Addiction is a bitch. Freedom is yours if you want it. Just learn the tools.... and use them.

You've got this Trojan. It takes some intestinal fortitude and commitment, but it is worth it. Post roll, keep that promise, wake up and repeat. That's it. You can WILL do this
"Fuck nicotine dude. You don't need it. And you don't want it. It didn't do a thing for you and you know it." - worktowin
"today you dissided that shit wont control your life. and it wont. unless you let it." - drome
"Not thinking about nicotine is for people who've never used nicotine. We threw that option away with the first dip or drag on a cigarette. We are addicts, and cannot become un-addicted." - wildirish317
"You need to decide how much you really want to be quit." - pky1520
We are always at risk. And probably always will be. That is why I will never get "too quit" to post my +1. Every. Damn. Day. - geis2597

Thanks to everyone on this forum it made me man up to my addiction. I've realized I needed to quit and have been wanting to the past few months. Ive just been waiting for the "right" time to do it. But, I've realized there is no right time besides NOW. Even though I'm new to here I've been reading a lot of forums. Reading everyone's advice and addictions and them overcoming it gave me the confidence to finally do it. There are some tough MF'ers on this place that can beat a 20 year addiction, so why can't I beat a two year one. I'm ready to take it on and beat this shitty addiction. Day 1!
Welcome bro, if you haven't posted roll please do so now. As you know already there's a ton of resources on this forum. With all of guys that will help you out. If you need to exchange numbers pm me.

One problem I know I will have is every time I eat for the past two years I put a chew in right after. any advice to help ease this??
Yes, use an herbal alternative: smokey mountain, hooch, etc.

Other ideas would be to find a new after dinner mint: a lifesaver, a cinnamon candy, hell bang your testicles in a desk drawer...

Do anything but put a damn dip in your mouth. The dip alternatives are sold a some major retailers, but if you are a weak person have someone else go to the counter for you...because it is all kept on the same fucking shelf as the tobacco products.

Weening off sucks, it does not truly prepare you to quit. I was weened off the tit as a kid and still to this day I love titties...so obviously that didn't work.
Amazing! '40'

Quit now, quit 100% and say FU to nicotine and tobacco as a whole.

You can expect it to suck at first, but you answered your own question - Quit at 2 years, because it WILL be 20 years if you don't. I chewed 17-18 years, be smarter than me. It's a week of hell, a month of "meh", and then a lifetime of freedom.

Hi I've been chewing now for about two year. I chewed about a can a day for 3 months and the rest of the time I would have a few dips a day. I've heard weening off is a good way to go so I started this summer about 3 months ago only chewing Camel Snus. It has a lower nicotine so I'm hoping it's easier to quit. I have a few questions and want some support for this journey. I've noticed if I don't have a chew I get pretty gnarly headaches and that is only after 8+ hours. I'm worried that this quit will trigger my pre existing anxiety and make it worse. Does having artificial chews like coffee grind and stuff like that make it any easier? I'm to the point where I want to quit because i feel quoting this addiction is better 2 years into it rather than 20. I play baseball so I'm around chew non stop which might make it pretty hard. What should I expect??
Glad to have you here trojan.

1. Weening only makes it harder. That's one of those dirty little lies we let nicotine tell us when we want to quit. Pull the band aid off and go cold turkey, it'll be a lot easier on you after the first couple weeks.
2. If you decide to go cold turkey, you have tons of support here. People will give you advice of chew substitutes, how to deal with the side effects of quitting, and just being ears to listen to you. When I have a craving I go into the live chat and talk to quitters.
3. Kill the Can helps those who help themselves. If you are willing to put in the effort that it takes to quit and you post roll here every day to make your promise to be quit for that day, this place will lift you up with support.
I hope I've answered some of your questions.
