Howdy,

First I'll introduce myself, my name is Chris, I live in Alaska and I'm a nicotine addict. I've been addicted to nicotine for 31 years. My preferred blend before I decided to quit was also Grizzly wintergreen. I was three cans a day, 1/2 a can at a time.

Now, if you would like the support of all the brothers and sisters on this site you must destroy that gum and any other nicotine products that are invading your home. This is a nicotine free site. Your quit day is the day you decide to quit all forms of nicotine. So currently, you are zero days quit.

I would highly suggest using, seeds, regular gum, hard candy, anything else to give your mouth something to do.

The price of admission to this forum is you must pledge your promise not to use nicotine for just one day. Anyone can do that, right? Then, tomorrow, you wake up, take a piss and post your promise all over again. One day at a time (ODAAT). Wake Up, Piss, Post (WUPP). We use a lot of acronyms in here. We never quit forever, only one day at a time. If you are a man of your word, then it should be a fairly simple process.

At the top of the page it says "Brotherhood Accountability Success". The Brotherhood is found mainly in your specific quit group. If you were to quit today and go in to post your day 1, your group would be December 2018. In this group will be other new quitters just like you, going through the same challenges as you. You will want to get as many phone numbers as possible from your brothers in your group and give them your number as well. This is how the accountability works. If you have not posted your promise by a certain time, some of your brothers will be texting or calling you to make sure you are okay and get you in to post. Also, because you now have their numbers, you can use them if you feel a crave coming and want some help to get through it. The combination of the two is how we achieve success each and every day.

My advise to you is to make sure you are ready to quit FOR YOU, not your wife , not your kids, YOU!! If you are not ready to quit for yourself, you will more than likely fail.

When you are ready to quit, I advise you to go all in and drink every last drop of the KTC Kool Aid. Read everything you can on this site, there is so much helpful information.

This is a link to your Quit Group when you are ready. Hopefully you choose to make that day today, because if you don't, your addict brain will come up with excuses for you to keep procrastinating.

Welcome. I also chewed nicotine gum before I quit. I chewed that crap for about 3 1/2 weeks. Thankfully, I got off it and was able to quit.

Read this story about Nicorette.

Also, please don't think that we're flaming you. We're not. It's just that we take quitting very seriously around here. You're either quit, or you are not. When you are chewing nicotine gum, nicotine still courses through your veins, and you are not quit. You're just using a different carrier.

Throw the gum away, and join us!

So I have been coming to this website for a few years. Thinking that this would be a good thing to try when I decide to quit. I have two small kids and a lot of really good things going for me. I have been chewing for 12 years, a can a day or better, grizzley wintergreen. IÂ’ve tried to quit in the past but IÂ’ve never made it this far. I think the differences I really want to, nine days in and itÂ’s going really good. But I donÂ’t want to mess it up like I always do. So hoping to get a little support from everyone. My major problem right now isnÂ’t chew, IÂ’m fine with not putting that nasty stuff in my mouth again. But IÂ’m having to lean on nicotine gum and IÂ’m afraid I canÂ’t get off of that and be completely nicotine free. So any advice would be greatly appreciated
If you are using nicotine gum, you aren't quit. Quitting is ceasing all nicotine use in every form. Quit the gum and any other NRT type of use and then post up day 1. Vapes, gum, patches, blunts, ANYTHING with nicotine is using nicotine. This is a nicotine free site. Quit it all, dump it, then come here and get the support. Putting that crap in your mouth is the same as chewing...nicotine is the enemy. If you were going to quit drinking would you use alcohol as your method to quit? Think about it...we will support you 100% but you need to get rid of ALL forms of nicotine from your body and then we will stand beside you with your quit each day.

Good...good, let the quit flow through you!  -chewie
