Learning to drive: 16 days free of the NIC BITCH! And getting my life back.

I thought I would check back in here and see how far i have come in 16 days.  It was great to see all of the support from everyone, even after I had passed 10 days.  I guess I will have to check this page more often.  Anyways, what have I learned:

1.) Post Roll:  Just like everyone says, EVERY DAM DAY , this is what has really been keeping me going.  I get up early, make my pledge not to use nic, and go on with my day not even thinking twice about wanting a chew.

2.) When times get tough, fall back to KTC:  Whenever I am feeling like I need to cave, I hop on here for ten minutes, look up some cancer pics, PM some friends, and look through roll for the day, by the time I get all that done, the craving is gone.

3.) Learn to Hate, and I mean HATE, the can:  This has been a big one for mean.  As soon as I dumped my last can in the shitter and I knew right then and there the easiest way for me to quit was to hate what I loved for so long.  I look at the cans behind the counter at the C-Store now like a big pack of cheating ex-girlfriends whores.  They are not even worth a second look, because they will just keep bringing me down.  Hate the can and let the can hate you!

Keep up the stong quits everyone and as always I quit with all of you today!
MT man,
You might be just learning to drive your quit but if you keep this shit up you will be flying soon. You totally get it and I am proud to be quit with a fellow Big Sky man. Even though I sadly now live on the coast with all the fruits and nuts as Pinched puts it. Quit on my Brother! 'oh yeah'
P.S.Keep the updates coming!

10 days is big. Keep on quitting. I'll warn you, I'm at 13 days and I've been told that the 2 week mark is tough. I'm starting to feel that, myself. Push through. We're all here for you.

You know what you are right, why not quit now! I just went to the bathroom, opened up my last can, dump all of it in, pissed all over it and flushed it away.  I won't lie it was hard to do, but I already feel better about myself for doing it!
Wow I am just now reading this, you my friend are bad ass. That is the way I like to see new quitters start there quit. Dont ease into the quit afraid to get your sack wet, Jump in and soak this shit up. There is so much to offer here at KTC , fuck nicotine !
Awesome decision!!! You got this. All kinds of good advice below this post. Welcome and PM me if you need anything!

Great call, man.

As these guys have said, Post roll. Every day. Period. If you are in BFE and simply have no access, text somebody. It's about accountability and consistency. And sharing in both joys and struggles. I'm day 15, and these guys have been lifesavers for me.

As you know, this isn't an easy fight. Don't take it lightly. But don't be ashamed when it puts a hurting on you for fighting back. I know one day my Freedom will be well worth it, as will yours!
