If you are serious about being free then quit now.

I can guarantee two things: (1) sure it is going to suck in the beginning but that is what this place is for and we'll help you thru it; and (2) it gets WAY better...after 21 years of use, once I found this place there was no looking back and today was my 254th day free. If I can do it, YOU can do it.

Dude, I bought two rolls of Jake's mint chew to help, weeks before I quit. Does it help... I guess. But the longer I go, the less I want to deal with it.

It all starts when you flush it. I chewed Skoal Classic for 30 years straight, now on day 3. Yes, I'm an asshole and dealing with it, but if I can do it, you can. Join us. Stay tough. You gunna be a pussy and give up? Fight!

Hey guys CrazyBear here figured I'd tell you all a little about myself.

Started out dipping around 10th-11th grade getting cans of Skoal from some of the seniors. Then moved on to smoking for a bit since the Job I had basically only gave smoking breaks. Quit smoking about 8 months ago but just fueled the addiction with dip. I currently dip about 2 cans every 3 days or so. I right now dip when fishing, playing video games, driving, after meals, bored, etc.

I just ordered 12 of the NiP ice to help ease me through the process.

Why am I quitting?
First off it's expensive at $3-$4+ a can and averaging 4 cans a week it starts to add up.

Horrible for your health not just your mouth but throat, stomach, pancreas, kidneys, arteries, etc.

I'm going to be working in the medical field and everyone jokes about smoking nurses but not about the guy packing a chaw in the side of his mouth (most of us I assume were good at hiding it), but it's still the same kind of irony.

Anyways as soon as the Nip Ice comes in I'll start my quitting as I've tried before but the two things that always got the better of me was the Oral Fixation and the Irritability. Quite frankly I get weird feelings in my jaw that beg me to put a dip in and I become an asshole if I go longer than 4 hours without some nicotine in. I figured if I could satisfy 1 of the devils I can manage the other 1 better.

It's going to be hard though just doing even regular things since I 99% of the time have a dip in while driving or after meals, hell even in my dreams I have a dip in.

Anyways thanks for reading guys and I'll keep you posted on how it's going so far.
Congratulations on your decision to quit!

I strongly advise you to flush everything today and get started quitting right now. You'll be that much farther along when the Nip Ice arrives. Who knows whether these extra days of dipping will be the "straw that broke the camel's back" when it comes to oral cancer? Do you want to take that chance? I wouldn't. Don't give the nicBitch one more second of your life!!

When you flush the crap, head on over to the WELCOME CENTER (link in red at the upper left of your screen) and read all about posting roll. Then go to the July 2012 group and get started.

Also read everything you can under this link: KillTheCan.org.
Information is power when it comes to quitting.

The initial days of quitting suck, but your life is worth the fight!!
If you need anything else, just shout.
bear,

I have to agree with keddy. There is no difference between now and when the stuff comes in. I ordered hooch and had to wait almost 2 weeks for it to come in, but I quit well before that. The fake stuff is a crutch to help you ge to where you are going. You don't need a crutch to walk, it just helps. Walk on your own for a few days and get used to not dipping then use the crutch if you need to. It will be difficult either way but at least you cna say you took the first steps on you own.

Now stop reading, go flush you stash, sack up and post Day one with July.

Hit me up on PM if you need anything.
Never forget the past or you will be doomed to relive your mistakes.

Unless you can tell me why it will be easier to quit later, Now is the time. I have seen far to many people say, "I'm gonna quit"

It will suck just as hard to quit next week.
