good job man. crave the support from family and friends. I found that telling everybody, not hiding it has been great. I get so much support and well wishes. People know it sucks and is hard.

Right on man, I'm only a couple days a head of you. I'll be wait'n for ya at the finish line with a cold one. :D

I see your day 2. Great job! You seem just as dumb as me. :) The good news is I am still quit. If I can do it so can you. The key to success? 1 day at a time.
today is day 3 for me. I've told everyone that I quit and not to tempt me and so far they've been doing pretty good at not asking if I want a dip/smoke. So it's nice to not have those temptations floating around while I'm at my worst.

Okay guys so I just got done flushing 4 cans of cope and a can of skoal down. Tomorrow will be my first full day of quitting so my 100 day mark is going to be July 16th.

Originally I was going to wait since I have a birthday party this weekend to attend which means drinking and usually that means I end up dipping quite a bit, and didn't want to really ruin the fun. But I figure that if I can handle that I can probably handle regular days even easier.

Thanks for the support thus far so I'm going to go ahead and post up in the July role call.
YOU ARE GIVING YOURSELF THE VERY BEST PRESENT EVER!!!
It doesn't matter if this is your birthday or someone elses That thought should really be on your mind every minute.

Way to go man! I'm quiting with you! It will suck I can make that promise to you. I will make you another promise I will have your back if you will just let me help when youre weak. In return I ask that you will be there for me when the bitch comes down on me. I'm going to send you a message as soon as I post this and give you my # I want you to use it.
Yeah it will suck pretty bad but I'm sure we'll manage to pull this off.

Hey guys CrazyBear here figured I'd tell you all a little about myself.

Started out dipping around 10th-11th grade getting cans of Skoal from some of the seniors. Then moved on to smoking for a bit since the Job I had basically only gave smoking breaks. Quit smoking about 8 months ago but just fueled the addiction with dip. I currently dip about 2 cans every 3 days or so. I right now dip when fishing, playing video games, driving, after meals, bored, etc.

I just ordered 12 of the NiP ice to help ease me through the process.

Why am I quitting?
First off it's expensive at $3-$4+ a can and averaging 4 cans a week it starts to add up.

Horrible for your health not just your mouth but throat, stomach, pancreas, kidneys, arteries, etc.

I'm going to be working in the medical field and everyone jokes about smoking nurses but not about the guy packing a chaw in the side of his mouth (most of us I assume were good at hiding it), but it's still the same kind of irony.

Anyways as soon as the Nip Ice comes in I'll start my quitting as I've tried before but the two things that always got the better of me was the Oral Fixation and the Irritability. Quite frankly I get weird feelings in my jaw that beg me to put a dip in and I become an asshole if I go longer than 4 hours without some nicotine in. I figured if I could satisfy 1 of the devils I can manage the other 1 better.

It's going to be hard though just doing even regular things since I 99% of the time have a dip in while driving or after meals, hell even in my dreams I have a dip in.

Anyways thanks for reading guys and I'll keep you posted on how it's going so far.
Hell we are all assholes around here there is NO reason not to quit NOW!! I had been planning to quit for several weeks my quit was going to be April 11. Last Saturday 6 days ago 11 days short of my plan to quit I paced the floor all night. Took a little pinch and spit it out while latter I'd repeat it over again. At 1:30 am April Fools Day I flushed 3 full cans of cope down the toilet, and posted rollcall and promised a bunch of total strangers that I would not touch that shit for the rest of that day!! Sure it was a bad day, so was the next and the next and today day 6 was a MFer but I have almost made it again, and I will do the same thing tommorrow and the day after that, and the day after that forever!!!!!!!!!!

Crazybear,

The world is full of people who are "about to do something." That is addict speak...and it's bullshit.

This group doesn't give a damn about what you're gonna do, or what you would have done, or what's gonna happen next week, etc. We want to know what you did TODAY.

Tell us you flushed that shit. Tell us you quit. Tell us you're fighting the Nic Bitch right now one day at a time. But don't waste our time talking about what you're gonna do. It doesn't impress us. We are addicts, which means that we lied to ourselves before posting roll too. It didn't help us and it sure as shit isn't helping you.

Click on the "Welcome Center" link above and start reading. And come back when you're quit. I sincerely hope you do come back and post roll. But until you do, you're just wasting everybody's time.
Bean. That just pumped me up!!! Why?

IT'S THE TRUTH!!!

Crazybear, if that doesn't give you the balls to do it. Enjoy living in your lies and getting a little occasional buzz in return.

If you don't do it now, remember and repeat after each dip.....

"I just got conned by a plant to give up my freedom, give up my money, give up my integrity and give up my health. For a temporary buzz???"

Choose to quit and taste the pain of FREEDOM. It's a trip.

Bean, I'll follow you into any battle. I am fucking inspired!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for exposing the bullshitter I once was. So glad I'm not shackled by the evil monster.

Proud to be quit today!
