Quitting for your health?! That's a great reason, man! And hey, it doesn't take long for the health benefits to appear. Less if not completely eliminated heartburn, normalized heart rate, better blood pressure, better oral health, restored sense of taste...

All this is coming your way if it isn't there already! Just keep soldiering through like you have been one day at a time.

welcome digits.

Quitting is tough. Work can be extra stressful when you are trying to meet work demands and dealing with the fog of the quit. But, know that it will pass. You deal with this one day at a time and you will get through this.

Try to get some exercise if you can and drink lots of water.

Proud to quit with you today!
Man up and be a quitter ODAAT. Post Roll EDD. It works.

EDD: Every Damn Day

Awesome choice Digikid. Now you don't have to stalk and you can get the full run of support around these hallowed halls. Nice job posting roll, now keep that promise. Wake up tomorrow and repeat. Simple as that.
"Fuck nicotine dude. You don't need it. And you don't want it. It didn't do a thing for you and you know it." - worktowin
"today you dissided that shit wont control your life. and it wont. unless you let it." - drome
"Not thinking about nicotine is for people who've never used nicotine. We threw that option away with the first dip or drag on a cigarette. We are addicts, and cannot become un-addicted." - wildirish317
"You need to decide how much you really want to be quit." - pky1520
We are always at risk. And probably always will be. That is why I will never get "too quit" to post my +1. Every. Damn. Day. - geis2597

CONGRATS on making a great choice, DK!!! My two cents...

This may not be your first attempt...but I bet it is the first time you have ever posted roll and given your word that come Hell of highwater you will not dip today, huh? YOU CAN DO THIS. You've taken the first step, now we've got your back. We're in this together now.

Stress? - Stress is an excuse. And excuses are like assholes...we've all got them and they all stink. This is a no nic and no excuse family you just joined today. You got this.

I love that you have been trolling this site and reading. Make sure you read the Tom and Jenny Kern story. In fact, read everything. Then read it again. YOU GOT THIS!!!

Post roll, keep your word and repeat. Don't worry about tomorrow, next week or whatever. We'll deal with them when they get here. The only thing that matters is today...and TODAY you are quit!!!

Quit Day Go!
« on: October 06, 2015, 09:59:00 AM »
Hi All,

Today is my first day without dip. I was a smoker for 15 years prior to taking up Dip, which I have been using for about 3 years now. I have a high-stress work environment so it will likely be a hard go. I have been stalking this site for a few months now and have finally built up the courage to quit as well as reach out for support in my endeavors. My primary motivation for quitting is my health and subsequently being there to watch my children grow up. This is not my first attempt at kicking dip/nicotine but with the support I have found here within all of the stories and posts, as well as my daughter now old enough to see that dip is disgusting and a bad habit, I am going to make this my last.

I would like to extend a preemptive thank you to all of those on this site here to support and those that have contributed their stories and experiences.

Thanks,

Jason
