First off, I thank you for your service. Secondly, congrats on your decision to quit. ItÂ’s much better to do it today than tomorrow. This site has many great tools to aid in your cessation, I encourage you to use them as they have been a great resource for me. The biggest thing is preparing for my battle. As stated above, it isnÂ’t easy. But again, if it were easy every addict would do it. I actually kind of like the pain. But you will get thru day by day. Use this community as your new crutch and lean on us all. We all have one thing in common, a desire to beat the every living dog piss out of nicotine 'bang head'

Feel free to PM me for anything. I proudly quit with you today!

I woke up this morning and decided enough was enough.

I started dipping young, probably around 13. 10 years of the stuff. I'm a Marine now (Semper Fi) and it's only gotten worse. But I can't be that bad example anymore. I've tried to quit before, but never with the support of others. I know the road ahead is going to be rough.

Today is day 1. Here we go.
You're in the right place, that's for sure!

This is going to absolutely suck, make no mistake about it. It's going to keep sucking until it doesn't.

The first thing you need to do is post roll with your homegroup - December '18 and make that promise to quit for today.

Then, drink a lot of water. Then a bunch more. Exercise, use fakes, find a good substitute, whatever it takes to keep that promise until tomorrow. Then wake up and do it all again. In fact, if you follow these simple steps you WILL be Quit:

1) Wake up
2) Piss
3) Post your promise
4) Repeat

Looks like I just got a PM from you. I'll go check that out now!

Welcome!

Steve
